I wanna hear from them directly. Not from other people, or these reports that speculate.

Only one side of the side has been told.

“I was actually quite happy with that segment that day because it was a lot better than the original idea. The original idea was...I was called up and asked if I was comfortable with having my shirt ripped off, or something. They wanted to do this whole angle where it was like they were gonna rip my shirt off so I was gonna be...embarrassed in my underwear, I guess. I don’t know. When you’re asked if you’re comfortable if you’re to do that, and it’s like literally people are being fired every single week, it’s like, well yeah...I guess I’m comfortable with that. I guess I’m gonna be doing that. But then a lot of people fought to not have that happen because that would have been terrible. A terrible idea.”

“So to be honest, the pie was actually...it was quite a sweet treat in comparison to what it could’ve been. In hindsight, I don’t really mind. You know what? I’m not even mad. People think I’m so mad about that. I think it’s hilarious. Standing there covered in pie!”

“That was a good day. Not painful memory at all. That was a good one...that was one of my better times.”

So creative was tryin to return back to the Attitude Era days huh?

Yeah I wish they would've went thru that idea. The backlash would've been deafening

McMahon has been working for the company full-time since graduating college, making her on camera debut during the late 1990s Attitude Era. Behind the scenes, she took over as head of creative in 2000 and became Chief Brand Officer in 2013.

The word making the rounds within the company is that McMahon, as she noted, has decided to take a break to focus on her family and the belief is that at some point, she will be returning, but there's no time table. One would think this means they will, obviously, have someone else handling her current duties until she returns.

With everything McMahon and her family have been through with her husband Paul Levesque's health over the last year, one can't blame her for wanting to take a break and focus on what's most important, her children.

As we noted earlier, Stephanie McMahon has announced she will be taking a leave of absence from World Wrestling Entertainment, effective tomorrow.

Internally within the company, it appears no one but the most inner circle had any idea this was coming and everyone, to a person that we've heard from (and we've heard from MANY) were completely shocked and taken aback by the news.

There are many reaching out within the company and beyond the company trying to find out what led to this decision.

Get some rest with Hunter. This company a stress burden.

Since we have gotten a ton of email asking about Sasha Banks and Naomi in advance of tonight's WWE Smackdown taping in Grand Rapids, Michigan, it does not appear either are in town for tonight's TV taping.

Naomi's husband Jimmy Uso is in Michigan for the taping tonight but Naomi did not travel with him, according to WWE sources.

Sasha Banks has not been seen in Michigan, and a long-time Elite subscriber sent word last night that Banks was on the same flight as her going to Minneapolis from Orlando.

So, if you were hoping all of this was being turned into a work and they'd be back on TV this week, you can stop hoping now.

“There was a banner of WarnerMedia properties basically listing a hit show from every night of the week that listed... AEW Dynamite on Wednesday (with a photo of Red Velvet for whatever reason although it was just a head shot, but still, for the NBA they put Steph Curry, and Red Velvet is hardly AEW’s Steph Curry)... In that sense, it was good positioning and it was noted that the NHL and Major League Baseball didn’t even get listings. But as far as any pushing of their ratings, demos or anything else, it wasn’t there, although they really didn’t do that for anyone. No AEW talent was there. There was a highlight of properties and there was a quick AEW clip but that was it.”
