Yeah, nah. The "lie" is the story they told on TV. Not what the suit says to a bunch of other suits.

Man, we 2 years and a half years into Cody's run. Were we just not going to have that? Mania which ended on the happy ending to end all happy endings, was going to end with Roman winning again? Or was Rock was going to end the 1316 day reign? And then what? Theres not even a logical alternative. Cody was always going to win, even before 39.

How do you make the rematch bigger? Add the Rock. Fans hate Rock for getting involved? Good, he's the heel. More for Cody to overcome. Make the fans demand it.

Just imagine, that it was a plan. Thats a pretty good plan, no? Nope it was all just dumb luck, and no one knew the fans would reject Rock stepping in to *take* the spot from Cody after he won. Not Rock, Not Hunter, Not Heyman, Not Nick, Not Roman, Not Cody. This is what is believable. Even when the PRESIDENT OF THE WWE outright says it was a work.
