I tapped out almost an hour into the movie. They really fucked up the first hour of this movie trying to backtrack and having Neo going through memory loss. Idk why they didn't bring Fishburne, back maybe he didn't want to come back (I wouldn't blame him).

Okay so…

The action scenes in this movie aren’t good at all

hand to hand combat was clunky, very slow, with unimpressive special effects

the movie largely is boring and not even a good boring that’s from decent dialogue or exposition

hate what they did with Morpheus. To him acting wacky in the beginning when he was an agent and him meeting neo, to him sparring with neo, to him being a program? (Somebody fact check me) so he looks like walking nanobots in the real world What a shitty way for a “character” to return imo

Neil Patrick Harris essentially being the main villain is horrible

don’t like the bots

the pacing might be my biggest issue in this movie

when I stopped the movie right after the Smith fight I was like “how did a hour and a half past?” It feels like even though stuff happened in the movie, that nothing really happened.

then when you realize when neo is talking to sati like 10 mins later it’s already the final act of the movie

the first hour of this movie could’ve been changed to better make use of the time

imagine watching a matrix movie and the action is uninspired and wack

neo does nothing this movie except put his hands up to block people and bullets

you know a movie sucks when you see online somebody talking about how they liked how everybody had their own unique sunglasses lol

i did kinda like the nods to the previous films and them explaining how things worked with the machines further but Niobe didn’t even need to be in this movie

This movie is bad. It’s funny how ppl saw this in theater too. If somebody tells you this movie is good then they don’t love you

oh yeah hated Smith in this as well and he was also unnecessary

this movie is just a bunch of unnecessary shit

I only finished watching because of y’all and I felt like I had to give this a fair review

I would gladly watch revolutions and reloaded over this. Those movies Atleast had something memorable. Dialogue, scenes, etc

there is nothing I will even remember by next week to be honest

Sooo did ign get it wrong?

I stopped messing w/IGN reviews on anything YEARS ago but I just watched the review video and I have to say they got the review on this one correct unfortunately. This shit was so much of a drag 45 - 50 mins into it, I just exit out the HBO Max app.

When watching an action flick there has to be a perfect blend of story mixed in along w/action. Instead, we get a trip down memory road that took too long and Neo with memory loss working on a Matrix video game. I'm good.

I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed this. I wasn't crazy about it and liked the originals more, but I expected to be completely let down from this but didn't gave trouble following it and not being entertained. Definitely the beginning of a whole new series of films though. Hopefully they can step it up for sequels.

Between Jupiter ascending, sense8 on Netflix, and this the wachowski girls might be washed

So disappointing. Dude who was flying around and bodying dozens of Smiths only had Susan Storm level powers (sans invisibility). Meanwhile Trinity who had basic level generic Matrix powers immediately flew and became the most powerful being in the Matrix.
