Because I care about the subject matter they address and the topics they touch on. I don't live in an echo chamber. Whether or like Umar and Tariq or not, the subject matter they address is important. The things they stand for are important. So when they talk, I give them an ear at times, just like I give an ear to people I agree. And being that they are figures in the black conscious movement, them beefing could be harmful to the movement and to the black community in general. Since I care about the black community, it shouldn't be that crazy to understand why I would enter a topic to see what the beef is about and how detrimental it might be.

Everyone has acknowledged that. Is this shit he's going through now because of the degree? I thought it was because he's been misrepresenting himself. Something like he's only authorized to be a counselor in schools but he's been claiming that he's a clinical psychologist. I personally never thought he did that. He's walked the line and when he gets to bragging on himself, I can see it being argued that he isn't always specific about him being limited to schools, but I don't think he's ever outright stated that he's more than what he is. If I'm not mistaken, the courts agreed, so people should let this shit die.

That's the issue that he's facing now. That he misrepresented himself in terms of being a pyschologist. The shit that gets me though is the lengths people will go to to defend even the most obvious bullshit. Like anytime the school shit gets brought up there's people who legit defend him not wanting to be accountable for the money or show any progress. When he got into it with somebody a couple years back over wanting to see a business plan or some sort of idea for the school people were saying it's wrong to even ask for that. It's just crazy that for 2 people who advocate researching and finding your own answers have followers who advocate blindly following w/o actually checking for yourself
