If I’m at an event and see a lot folks rocking Shirts with American flags or having that blue lives matter flag I know what type of crowd that is and I place I don’t want to be.

One of my favorite artists Gates coming to town and I ain’t gon be there because I know what type of crown that’s gon attract. I’m passed that part of my life lol

It is, but consider that it’s subjective and the people who enforce it are humans who are emotionally driven.

I’ve been denied entry from a place for “baggy” jeans I bought from American Eagle. They don’t sell “baggy” shit.

Dress codes are always selectively enforced and get weaponized

Crazy shit is that this wouldn't even have been necessary back inna day.

This Black-owned fish joint opened around the way from me over on Livernois and Chippewa called O'Quinns back around '89/90. Line used to be long as fuck, all out the door and into the parking lot and on the many times I went to cop that fire ass perch they had, even in the hot and humid ass Detroit summers, there was never a point where anyone standing in that line would have gone astray of any of TLH's dress code.

Aside from maybe a handful of times at 3am at a random Coney spot after the clubs let out, or later after Timbos let out, I can't think of a time coming up where such a dress code would be even be needed.
