Aight So Boom
Here's the story on how I got my PS5
Copped this bad boy on Saturday. I was chillin playing the PS4 with the kids and I checked brickseek at like 4:30. They showed that a Walmart about 40 minutes away had 6+ in stock. I immediately got dressed and hit the road. It was dark outside by the time I got there.
So this Walmart is in a shopping complex and when I pull in I'm behind like 10 cars that's going to other stores and stopping at the lil stop signs and shit. I finally get up to the store and the only parking spot was the electric car parking spot and I parked my Tahoe in that bitch lololololol.
So as I pull into the parking spot this little white Honda is driving fast as hell though the parking lot. This lil Puerto Rican chick jumps out after parking and she took off running for the door. I knew immediately that she was coming for the same shit I was coming for. I can see her checking her phone and she had her Google Maps up and she was on brickseek. I thought about running past her but I'm a bigger black dude wearing all black already looking suspect and I thought that if I took off running behind this lil girl that people would probably think something crazy lolololololol So I just power walked back to electronics.
When I got over by electronics I saw a dude walking by the cases where the Playstation games were and he was holding a PS5 in the box in his hands. I was like oh shit they really got them bitches huh? So I walked up to the counter and I see the lil Speedy Gonzales chick and about 10 other people standing around one of the employees. He was shrugging his shoulders so I knew right away what it was. I asked him did dude buy the last one and he said yeah.
Before I left the store I checked brickseek to see if the inventory of the store I was in updates and sure enough it updated on brickseek while I was in the store.
But..........now another store that wasn't on there before I walked in all of a sudden popped up on there saying that they also had 6+ in stock. That store was only 10 minutes away so this time I ran back to the car and threw the GPS on and dipped out fast as fuck. I went through some backroads and I made it to that next store quick as fuck.
I walked back to electronics and I see 2 Black folks. One man and one woman. Another black dude about my age. And an older black woman who was with another lady. They're all standing around and I know what they're all there for. Before I could walk up to the counter this Asian man came out of nowhere and me trying not to start no shit I let him go before me.
The Asian guy actually was asking about the XBox though and not the PS5. The dude behind the counter said that the store manager is on his way back right now and he'll answer all of your questions. So now I'm like oh shit that wasn't a clear no so that probably do got them bitches. So I walked up and told dude that I was gonna ask the same thing but about PS5's and he said just wait for the manager.
So now I'm waiting for the manager but none of us are in line. We're kind of just in a gaggle. Next thing you know about 4 more dudes done walked up and I'm like ah shit it's getting thick in this bitch.
So the manager is finally coming back like 10 minutes later and he has a doll so now I know they at least have one. The manager hit the corner and he saw that it's like 10 people and he was like holy cow!!!! The employee told him that they're all asking the same thing.
So the manager looked at all of us and was like look folks I only have 12 PS5's I immediately started counting. Including myself there was exactly 12 people there. But the Asian guy wanted an XBox so that leaves one extra. Then the older Black woman was only getting one and she was just with a friend. So they really only need to pass out 10.
Now shit started to get intense because they came back with all 12 of em. They were straight off the truck in the shipping boxes with 2 in each box. There was 6 boxes. So now we all just started to form a line and we started getting in line in the order that we came.
Now the first two people in line were actually a brother and sister. Now one of the employees said that store policy is that it's only 1 console per family but the brother showed his ID and he said we live in different houses. The were acting like they weren't gonna sell them each one of em. So the brother was like naw y'all not bout to do that. Then everybody in line was like even if y'all give her one we'll all get one so just give her one so that we can all check out before a lot of people show up. The managers huddled up and they was like okay each of them can get one. They really was trying to be petty though.
So I was the 5th person in line and by the time I was up to check out I looked behind me and there's like 30 people lined up.
Niggas........I swear on everything that every single person there had to have checked brickseek. There's no way that all of us just went there on a whim.
I paid for mines in like 30 seconds. Didn't even get the Walmart protection plan but I read that you have up to 30 days to buy that bitch so I'm gonna get it today.
I walked to the car and nobody in the store even noticed that I was carrying a PS5 lololololol
I was way out of the way in a predominately white area but the majority of the people in line was niggas and young people lolololol
The funniest thing was that as I was walking to the car a dude ran out of his car and started running to the store. He was fist pumping and pointing to me saying hell yeah but little did he know they only had 12 and there was already 30 people in there lololololololol.
I Facetimed my wife for the whole 1 hour ride home. Shit was crazy but I finally copped without having to overpay or wait for the mail.

Go to the site and type Playstation 5 in the search box. Type in your zipcode and it will pull up all the Walmarts in that area that have em in stock.

I haven't even opened it yet. I'm gonna buy a soundbar first this week. I gotta reorganize all the shit that's plugged into the receiver and the TV. Right now we got a Sony AV Receiver with 5 speakers and a subwoofer. I'm trying to downsize to a soundbar with a subwoofer and like 2 wireless surround speakers.
That Sony 65 inch TV that I won't is either not in stock or the price on that bitch went up from $999 to $1,300. I'm trying to look around and make sure I still want that bitch. I might not even open that PS5 until Friday lol.

I ain’t massive on keeping up with new tech, not a fan of the whole smart tv shit but it makes sense to go 4K to maximise use of ps5 functions.
You need to keep up with the new tech to maximize the use of the PS5 though. Just a 4K TV won't really move the needle.
I usually wait about a year before I purchase new consoles but since the PS5 and Xbox Series X both came out on the same week as my birthday I bought both. The damn thing crashed while I was playing Miles Morales Spiderman. I thought it bricked my shit because I couldn't get it to turn back on. Gave it a soft reboot and that fixed it. I should of gotten the warranty on both. I got Call Of Duty on Xbox and that has crashed a few times. I'm hoping it's the game and not the system. Will see what happens when I get Cyberpunk later on this week.

You need one with 2.1 hdmi and running 60-120hz which is rare and priced right now. So if you not willing to spend I would either buy a cheap 4k you don't mind dumping or putting in another room in a year or so then copping one with the above requirements which should be base by spring/summer and have some cheaper options.
I think theres only 19 tvs on the market that actually meet the requirements for ps5 and the new xbox rn.
Unless you gonna spend some real bread and get an OLED then you'd need a TV that's truly native 120Hz and not 60 Hz. Gotta have HDMI 2.1 on that joint too. That's gonna take advantage of a lot of the next gen features on the PS5.
