That's not true. It ain't the struggle. It's the community. This country is still very segregated. Most black people live in pockets. So the majority of the black people in this country have very similar experiences, especially when you break it down at a regional level. The problem for the Smith kids isn't just that they didn't struggle. Not all black people struggle. Their problem is they didn't really grow living lives that typical black people relate to or understand, so they aren't embraced. Think about how proud people are when someone from their neighborhood makes it big. People embrace others that they feel connected in some way. Willow and Jaden have no connection to most black people in this country outside of skin tone.

What's annoying is that they really don't understand that or care to understand because if they did they'd do a little self reflection and understand that if they really cared about being embraced by the black community, they could reach out and ingratiate themselves to the black community. One thing about black people is that we're always looking to invite outsiders into the fold, even to our own detriment.
