COMMUNITY Social Justice Thread: R.I.P. George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor & now Tyre Nichols

I see what you saying, but ya'll really gotta stop acting like all black people are in the same situation. Are there pockets in this country where the black people that live there could band together and create something devoid of white influence? Maybe. There was a Black Wallstreet. There was similar place in Wimington, NC. I'm sure there were other comparable black areas throughout this nation's history, and we know what happened to them. However, not every black person lived in or near one of those places just like not every black person in the country now lives in ATL or the DC metropolitan area. So, yeah, we should do what we can to build strong communities or four own, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't fight for justice and equal treatment under the laws and systems of this land. That's not a matter of asking for charity. That's a matter of demanding what you're rightfully owed. Even if the government isn't going to give us money, they should at least be pushing policies that will undo the damage that the previous racist policies have done. If that doesn't happen, a lot of what you think can be done won't be as effective as you think it will be.
i hear everything you saying.....

lets go after their money after we all have money.

lets build up our community then go after them.

i will say it again....we have all we need. and what we dont have we can build on our own.

that dont mean to stop trying to get what rightfully belongs to our ancestors with interests......i never said that. i am saying stop making them and what they owe us the first priority........i think and feel our first priority is building and stabilizing communities.

we dont need to live on what happened to our black communities because ....we need to learn from them.

stop looking at it in a negative way and learn to improve moving forward.

i can say alot of black businesses failed. but that dont mean i will fail.

change the perspective. what happened in Wilmington and tulsa......could happen again. but are you going to live on that and not try? or build and understand we ca defend ourselves now?

we need to build to strengthen the youngins to get whats owed.....we may not get it and need to be ok with that. but as long as its gotten...does it matter if you get it our your children get it?

i think too many people are focused on them getting it and not the next generation.

so im not saying not to go after whats owed or respect or equality of whatever.......that just not my lane.
my lane is more on...fuck them......im trying to build an infrastructure and comfort for my people to come back to.

you do whats in your lane.

we all trying to get to the same point but taking different paths.

respect.

To be clear, I don't believe that we should be looking for reparations in money form. I believe reparations should come in the form of policy changes that favor blacks.

I do believe that we should be looking to build businesses that bring in white money as well as money from our people. If we only look to cater to our people, the potential of our communities will be limited. My wife owns a business, and a couple of her sites are in mostly white communities. We live in a majority black community. That means she's responsible for a net flow of money from them to us. It would be wise not to discourage that type of thing. Jews and Asians damn sure don't.

ok...just to be clear i dont think i ever said to keep black businesses in just our communities.
but we need basic essential businesses in our communities.

i make most of my money from the global community and bring it back to our communities.

and i agree...i dont want their money in the form of reparations......i need them to work to earn our trust and respect.

give us texas.........or cali..nah keep cali.....give us Illinois. to start

To play along with the impossible hypothethical, if you're gonna get land, it has to have access to the ocean. So cali and texas are a good choice. Illinois is bad strategically, cause youre blocked off on 4 sides.

lol That's not gonna happen bruh. We shouldn't invest any time in pie-in-the-sky demands that's we'll never get.

Lakes dont work. You need to he able to get ships on the ocean and trade with other countries if need be. Cant have your land be landlocked. Strategically it wont work is my point. Anything that borders the ocean or a sea that flows into the ocean is good.

Ether...

I should've known, they would've blew they ass up if it was the real Panthers.

But the klan can still operate freely.

Sidenote: I was doing some research yesterday and couldn't find a single article explaining why they are still allowed to function. I know why but I wanted to see something tangible.
