I Believe In God....But...

not fear in that sense... fear = revered, to be in awe of

fear & revered have two totally different meanings

revered

feel deep respect or admiration for (something)

fear

noun
  1. 1.
an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat.

    verb
    1.
be afraid of (someone or something) as likely to be dangerous, painful, or threatening.

God ain’t shit but Santa Claus for grown ups

He sees you when you’re sleeping

He knows when you’re awake

He knows when you’ve been bad or good so be good for goodness sake

Yeah, those parts are ridiculous...But so like...Where do you think all this shit came from...?

Why do parents tell their kids about Santa? To get them to behave during the rest of the year. You can connect the dots from there.

Naw, that doesn't connect any dots....I'm sayin where do the parents and the kids and the idea of Santa and the ability to lie about him...All that...Where does that come from?...Nothing?

Old fables

...He/She/It is kind of a dick, right?

...I mean, why do we really have to suffer through all this pain and confusion?...If you read the bible fully, it's basically like God constantly makes things He's disappointed with, punishes them because he's disappointed, and flexes his power on his creations...Of course there's more to it than that and I'm not knocking the positives of belief....And I get the whole "everything is for a reason" and "we can't understand His will" arguments....But Iono, this existence seems sadistic....

...What y'all think we gain outta this in the end?

Whether you believe in God or not, it's a bit of a misrepresentation to make it seem like God is the one that makes us suffer all because he's disappointed with us. He made humanity and gave us free will. We immediately used that free will to start killing each other, so he pushed the reset button, and decided to focus on one group of humans. Those humans repeatedly did dumb shit, and made it clear that humans couldn't really get right without a big move from God. So that's where Jesus and the Holy Spirit come in. They basically give humans a way to be square with God without having to sacrifice free will.

The point is, according to the Bible, sin is what is to blame for our misery, not God. If you're not a believer in God that should make perfect sense. The reason the world is shitty is because people are shitty.

Okay...So if you do believe in God in a strict sense...Those statements contradict eachother...God made us, and our free will, and the world...So if we're shitty, it can literally only be because God made us that way...And then he gets mad about it...Which is wild...On top of that, there are people who have never used their free will to go against God yet they still suffer...Which is wilder...

...If you don't believe in God in a strict sense, or at all...Yeah, I see what you mean...Some bad apples fuck up the bunch..

That’s the origin of Santa

Fuck are you talking about

I'm not talmbout the origin of Santa, I'm talmbout the origin of you...Everything around you...Sure, you could look at the bible as a fable but that doesn't change the fact that all this comes from something...

I don’t have time to explain the entirety of human biology to you

But the answers are there

I can see why you'd say that. God made us so it's not crazy to say that however we are is on him. However, looking at it that way ignores the nature of free will. God gave us a choice. He didn't make us use that choice to defy us. That's just what many of us choose to do. And it's not like he gets enraged over the petty shit that we do. If you read the Bible, he gets mad because people did shit like murder each orther and make golden animals and worship them even though back then they knew for a fact God was real.

Also, when I say people go against God's will, I'm talking about sinning. Everybody sins. However, if you look at the people who were considered relatively blameless, they didn't really suffer. Well, except for Job, and even as a believer I kinda think that's a fucked up story.

Well, nobody could accurately explain that...Because we don't know...The furthest back any scientist will confidently claim to be aware of would be the big bang, right?...But if you ask how that happened or what was before that, nobody knows...We just assume it to be based off evidence...Which...Would seem to me like nothing but another way of admitting that someone or something created this, for some reason we don't know.

By that logic God also has to have a creator

That creator is humans

At the first bolded...There are mad people in the bible who get killed over petty shit...Example, he killed 42 people randomly for makin fun of Elisha's bald head:
2 Kings 2:23

And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.

2 Kings 2:24

And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tore forty and two children of them.

To the second bolded...Please explain to me when babies sin...

So you believe humans created the universe?...I ain een trollin, it's something to think about...Maybe all this is just a projection of our minds...Reality is a dream, etc...
