Nah. You hear a lot of Afrocentric people acting like we're all the same, but that's not true. We've been over here for centuries at this point. I honestly don't think Black Americans have that much in common with Africans. I'm not saying that to insult anyone. It's fine that we're different, but the idea that any and every Black American person could just uproot, move to Africa, and thrive is a pipe dream.

I'd say we'd have a better chance at building with other members of the African diaspora in the Western hemisphere.
 
I’ve personally met (and have been in relationships) with Africans born in their countries and they would always tell me that America is THE BEST place to be….and they also know that our African ancestors played a role in the slave trade we were victims of

The problem I have with black Americans assuming that Africa is better is that they think it’ll be on some “Coming To America” type shit and niggas would get shit on a golden platter (as Akon obviously joked)

No matter where you go you will always have to deal with poverty, prejudice, violent competition and discrimination….YES that even includes the “motherland”.

Not to ramble, but very few former slaves even wanted to go back to Africa…they knew America was a goldmine
 
I think a lot of people forget that this country already tried sending African Americans back to Africa. That's how the country of Liberia was formed, and that country went on to be considered the worse place in Earth for a while. Now of course the way America did it was fucked up. They basically took land from people living there and gave it to Black Americans, so the experiment started off wrong. That said, even when America washed it hands of it, the Africans and former Black Americans still couldn't get a long or agree on anything.

If niggas are able to assist and convince leadership to nationalize resources then we can talk

Then u may have industries for where the incoming African Americans can thrive without that this subject makes no sense
 
You cant just pick up and go somewhere with your same mindset, attitude,expectations, etc to another state .. we talkin about a whole entirely different content many would need to make many self adjustments and assessment

Going to Africa is invading a culture with our culture and the locals would not and should not be ok with it.

If we can’t deal with each other here on basic levels, and refuse to be flexible to work together or even consider uniting for the greater good, how can we even get there without the same shit happening.

Sounds like a good idea, but I bet at the beginning of that nationalization process, they're not going to want a bunch of immigrants coming into their country taking advantage of those resources.

It would be a situation like in some of those European countries where they agree to take in refuges, but then don't allow the refuges to get a job or do anything that would allow them to carve out a decent life.
 
Africans don't even get along in their own respective tribes and countries. So to think you can uproot tens of millions of Black people from another country and it would be this smooth transition is idiotic and I can't believe Akon is still spouting that bullshit talking point unchallenged in interviews.

That and as much as niggas here now are complaining about immigrants coming over...what do they think you'll be viewed as in Africa? They won't be viewed as native Africans for damn sure
