I haven't been able to find an indoor one that allows steel in my areaI can understand the price difference, but I’m good on that.
Plus a lot of the indoor ranges I’ve been to in San Antonio and Austin stated brass only. Maybe the outdoor ones out here are different though. Maybe I could find a few if I looked more that wouldn’t mind.
After a mass shooting it turned into a gun enthusiast circle jerk lol rather than about future safetyI think you guys are missing the point of the fuckin thread

Mental health also covers so much moreThese shootings always lead to overreaction.
This mental health check for example. That sounds cool and all, but let's get into the details.
What mental illnesses get excluded? Like 10% of the country is on antidepressants. What about people with anger issues?
How many mental disorders you testing for? Who has to pay for all these tests, licenses, safes, etc? Should gun ownership laws discriminate against those with less money?
And if someone has sought out help for their mental health you want the government tracking who they live with and sending agents to examine their home?

We have a thread with a bunch of good ideas to help improve someones mental health and a lot of suggestions aren't even drug or medical related. Just things that put peoples mind at ease throughout the day
I don’t there’s a simple way of fixing it, without evading someones privacy, you give a inch they will take a mile. I do think they need to do better especially when it comes to monitoring threats made via social media. I think of a lot of these would be shooters go to social media to vent and seek attention before they carry out these crimes. I think if local police do better taking these threats seriously maybe some can be avoided.
The 10% on anti-depressants should definitely need a hold on buying firearms, imo. These shootings always lead to overreaction.

But my bigger issue is the "effectiveness" on those drugs in the first place. We need a good deep dive into whether they truly work

Regular ass people be on antidepressants. They don't have to be contemplating suicide or anything. So you'd prefer a setup that will put people in the situation of getting help or keeping what they use for personal/home defense?
I think the system we have is mostly fine. Just gotta buckle down and properly enforce. Bad shit's still gonna happen, but that's just unfortunately how it is.
One of the side effects of antidepressants is suicidal thoughts. Doesn't happen to everyone, but it definitely can happen. Same for anti-psychotics.
