What kinda student were you back in high school?

I was a decent shawty in HS
Never rolled in cliques, was cool with everybody.
In class I was a clown....cracked a lot of jokes.
A LOT OF JOKES.
my teachers loved me tho because I made good grades and was kindhearted

I think one of my teachers told me her kids started asking about me because she talked about me so much at home.
I was a good student up until the 11th grade
Then shit got thick...

I was a tom boy, growing up with 5 brothers can do that to ya.
I was into my Aaliyah thing back then so I dressed in baggy pants and crop tops. Bomber jackets etc.
I had mostly guy friends because even though my brothers were older than me, I skipped a few grades and ended up being a 13 year old freshman. and we all hung out.

I played football, which made it into the paper because our mayor at the time fought for me to be able to play in actual games. Before that no other team in the city had a female player so I could practice with the team but wasn't able to play.
I wasn't the cheerleader or the chick with the fru fru friends.
My clique was tight and them ladies still to this day hold one another down.
We did good Ish for that school though and my favorite teacher was Coach Player - he taught black history and was the basketball coach.
His advise to me was: You have a "take no sh*t and make money" attitude at a young age. Keep that and tower over every one else who's more worried about making friends than money. ( I had lied on an application and said I was 15 to get a job and he found out. lol he signed my work waiver though )

I fought more dudes over the "B" word than any female I know.
And my grandma's house was the "kick it" spot after school because she lived across the street from the hood BBQ spot and the Green cat liquor store.
I graduated, with honors at 15 (turned 16 that year)

This is also true... Thanks for the compliment King. :D

A Jock.

Football and Track.

Was an above avg student. Socially I was cool with everybody. I was like goldie...if you had a problem with me you was buggin.

Was real lokey with females...didnt realize I was one of the "it" guys till a pep rally my junior year...they called my name and I stood up and the females started screaming like it was a B2K concert. Boosted a nigga confidence 1000%

People knew me but I didn't mess with everyone. Was always in the library cracking jokes or in classes laughing.

I did my work but was a slacker. I really thrived in English and creative arts classes.

I would argue with teachers just for the debate potential and questioned their teaching methods. Tried to get two teachers fired.

Joined some clubs where I quickly became a representative because I'm a great public speaker. Gained a title as a Black Panther because of my pro-black attitude and the assembly content I wanted to have during Black History Month but then it got canceled.

Made a Yu-Gi-Oh club and had tons of people join. Was never a nerd just a cool guy that could hang with all crowds.

Music taste was off the wall, still is. People still joke about that to this day.

Say my guy, if the preceding statement is true, then why things didn't work out over at that other site, :lmao2:?

i wrestled and i was in the band, and while i was never really tight with them like that, whenever i run into them it's all love....

my high school alumni association is deep as fuck, even down to my generation....they always having shit.....always.......i mean, like almost every weekend niggaz from my high schol lnking up doing shit.....i might go every now n then, something like once or twice a year...and it's always love, we exchange info, but i never talk to them niggaz, lol

That site was about faux positivity and the spectrum of black matters was always on extreme. When I'm on the Coli or IC I'm not like that because I'm showing them the error in their ways.

CAC this CAC that. And I still beat them at their own game.

I tried out for JV basketball once. But quit tryouts like the 3rd day. I probably would've made it had I stuck with it.

Didn't bother trying out for varsity b/c at that time, another school combined with ours. So the coach already had his team set from the jump (he took the starters from the other school)

Class Clown/Stoner/Guy that was hardly there

All through highschool i would show up on test days, pass my tests and do enough work to get a D and pass the class. Otherwise i was gone

I was a "jock". Multi sport athlete. Captain in every sport. Buthe I kept to my self lol. Naturally I was cool with most of my teammates, but I kept a small circle. I didn't realize how "popular" i actually was until we had a homecoming pep rally senior year and they introduced the seniors and everyone went crazy. I was cool with everyone, but I wasn't one to follow trends or click up, but I was still well liked. I had good grades too so i graduated top of the class.

Like the rest of my life, my shit was different AF lol. Went thru a number of phases. Went thru a phase where I was a huge metal head, in a band n errythang. They got hooked on drugs so i rolled with my people mostly.

Junior year race riots popped off a few times so I cliqued up and banged with the locs n damus to fight back against the racist ass Mexican gangs that were cliqued up. We were out numbered 10 to 1 and still held our own with ease.

At that time the school was highly influenced by prison politics so each race had their own section of the school and if too many of us went to a certain part even the staff would try to get us to go back cuz they knew fighting was inevitable. It was a few times the older heads from the mexican gangs would show up trynna blast some of the homies so shit got handled politically luckily. Shit was epic AF.

I was in honors the entire time but refused to do homework, so I did the absolute bare minimum to graduate on stage lollll

I'm glad you mentioned the prison culture cuz they were most definitely trying to condition us for it. I used to say this all the time growing up. Not only were some of the schools I went to literally architecturally designed like a prison, but just to enter the building we had to have our id's out, then pass though a metal detector and then be scanned with the wand. Not to mention the heavy police presence, dogs, and random locker and stop and frisks. They most definitely knew what they were doing.

There were several fights a day, but I know I was being looked after because I went to an ALL blood school, and I was very heavily affiliated with the C's. I earned my respect tho.

But I do kinda miss takin niggas money in dice games in the hallways between classes...

In high school I was lucky enough to actually meet my oldest friend. Highschool was the first time I went to a public school and it was on the whole other side of queens from where I lived. I didn't know a soul there and thought I'd get beat up or some shit lol. Ended up meeting him the first day at lunch and whole bunch of others through classes and Track. I became more open but was always known as the chilled out quiet dude. Cool as hell and I either knew you or I didn't. By Junior year I was hanging out not getting home until almost 10 every night. Every day kids would get kicked out of mcds, bking, wendys, and popeyes (All of them were around my school) Cops stayed getting called because of so many black kids everywhere pretty much. We used to call one robocop because he showed up in that little bike with the glass casing covering it.

How many of yall was that kid who always sat alone at lunch? :lmao2:
This was me, smh...

Moved around too much so I never made friends, hated cliques, I was a sewing nerd to the theatre geeks. Loner that wore all black and listened to rock music. I was worse than the kids that ate alone, I was the lunch lady's assistant. Decent grades in everything except history and math. Used to sale English papers to buy weed. Didn't become popular until the last month of senior year.
