Put bluntly, they don't NEED either.
You don't NEED a smartphone at all, which is why I categorized it as a non-essential purchase earlier. I've said this time-and-time again, a smartphone, regardless of how much it costs, is a luxury item. If you absolutely need a cellphone, you can cop a cheap ass pay-as-you-go dumbphone for a single transaction of $25-$35 and pay for your minutes as needed. I can see having a cellphone in the event you're out and about and are waiting for a callback for an interview, daycare needs to get in touch with you, etc, but that's really where it ends and for that a simple, cheap phone works fine.
I hear you. I’m not a slave to labels. I actually stated I liked both phones. I just don’t see why people mad that people buy iPhones and it would be the same if the anger was towards Samsung Android or whoever. It’s their money and their decision. Let them people rock.
