In all honesty, it's not a bad movie. And it definitely has it's widespread influence. No one can deny that.

But just from a movie stand point. I just never really was high on it.

As far as street, hood, drugs, mafia, crime movies there's just sooooooo many better movies than Scarface.

Fact is... Outside of Pacino.... Who had a stand out performance? Like everybody was flat. The action was cool. The quotables are there. Watching Tony be a little spazz is fun to watch.... But I just never considered it great.

Off the top of my head I can name
5 better Pacino movies
5 better mafia/crime movies
5 better action movies
5 better drugs movies...

Shit Blow was better, Carlito way. Goodfellas, casino, heat, King of new York, deep cover, Donnie brasco....I know y'all already went pages... And I don't want no smoke

:mybad:
Throw this whole post in the trash

When I watched this movie I never thought that their was any type of incest going on. To me it was about Tony not wanting Manny to go near his sister in that way because he knew how Manny was and what he was about with females (Player). When Manny answered the door he knew nothing about them being married he just saw betrayal and disrespect and that’s why he killed him.
As far as his sister throwing herself at him well she wasn’t in her right state of mind and wanted to believe that Tony killed Manny because she thought he was jealous of Manny but that wasn’t the case at all.
At least that’s what I took from it.

To address how other movies mentioned are so called better made movies well let’s also put out there that this movie was made in 1983 vs all the movies being mentioned that were made in the 90’s and up.
I’m sure if scareface was made in the 90’s or 2000’s it would have been an even greater movie.

The end...

This shit is a classic. To me it's one of those movies that if I catch it while it's on I stop to finish the rest of it.

The 80s theme, the music, Tony going off on all those old white people in the restaurant, the scene where they're about to blow up dudes car while he's with his kids....not sure how those scenes weren't mentioned yet.

His character itself was intriguing. Destructive narcicist, consumes everything around him, cut throat but still has a code if u wanna call it that.

Incest?? Lmao y'all been interneting wayy too much

Also never watched a single star wars movie so maybe there's something to that.

Talk to these dudes!

for the people who think this is the greatest movie of all time, why is the incest shit Tony had with his sister never brought up? It's always the kingpin shit.

I don’t think he wanted to smash his sister but he looked at her as like some type of super delicate good thing. Nigga was about to kill over her dancing. Same vibe Arabs niggas give off but without the honor killings. I think his sister was extremely shocked by Manny being killed and thought obviously Tony must want her if he won’t let her know anybody else.

He wanted his sister to be pure.

He never wanted to see her as a woman.

He was over protective and he over reacted

The nigga literally lived on extremes.... There was no levels

Yes it was the cocaine 80's but shit was exhausting. This nigga was a cartoon. Tazmanian Cokedevil
