Which style? I didn't like them before cause Dominicans tend to make them starchy, like potatoes. Jamaicans cook em sweet , though. Way better that way.

Depends if it's green or yellow plantain and how ripe it is. Green plantain is more dry bitter tasting with a tougher texture. A extra ripe yellow plantain is sweet af and the texture is soft.
