The Cares Act wasn't a one stop shop. It was put in place like welfare. Meaning it's not something that was meant to happen once and then go away. It was put in place to be expanded and used again if need be.

The second implementation of The Cares Act was passed by The Democratic led House in May 2020. That would've gave us a second $1,200 stimulus check before 4th of July. It also included increased unemployment benefits that were higher than the first implementation in March.

The second implementation that was passed in May also included more relief to small business and front line workers.

congress (both Liberals/conservatives) slowed the CARES Act do to their internal debate on what provisions to include in the bill.

bottom line is that both parties loaded pork into the CARES Act, then pointed fingers at each other for doing the same thing.

No this is wrong.

Democrats did not slow The Cares Act down.

The first one was passed in the last week of March and the first payments went out second week of April.

By the third week of May Democrats passed a second implementation of The Cares Act.

So you can't sit up here and both sides this shit. One side passed a Trillion dollar relief package twice.

Why did we not receive a second stimulus after The House led Democrats passed another Trillion dollar relief bill in May?

What stopped us from getting checks in June?

sir pelosi botched the cares act negotiations and her and schumer were instrumental in getting $5T for corporations and crumbs for american people. that is my point. im not applauding dems whatsoever.

Which implementation are you saying Pelosi and Schumer botched? The one in March or the one in May?

Pelosi passed both of them in The House with unanimous consent.

Schumer is The Senate Minority leader and Mitch McConnel who is the Senate Majority leader never even put the may implementation on the floor for a vote.

social media companies have effectively created an oligarchy on online political speech. folks are vying for censorship because it has snuffed out someone they dont like failing to realize the pendulum swings both ways.
