To affect change, laws have to be passed. You have to be in politics to do that. That's where the votes come in.

Unless you want to start a revolution and overthrow the establishment.

Never heard of them to be honest, which means they had no shot of winning. I'm not in the business of wasting my time like that. If we a viable option to support outside of the Dems and Reps, I'd gladly vote that route.

That's not the question though. The question was how does abstaining from the vote in this past election help black people.

@Disanthrope gave one possibility and I admit, if things worked out that way then the move was a success.

What's the likelihood things turn out that way? I don't know. Like I said, I see more avenues for failure down that path than success, but I could be wrong.
