Yo this the first time I've reacted like to this to a MeToo revelation, but this some bullshit imo.

Not sayin' he didn't slap them but why fuck him again if he slapped you the first time

This case you cant believe? It's the same as Cosby's. Every accuser stated they kept going out with him after they claimed he raped them.

I hear you but I think both on ABW and on the IC I was quite clear in takin' each accused rapist as individuals. It's the same as Cosby's imo and I may be wrong but the issue here is that he slapped them while fuckin', not that he fucked without consent.

I'm aware that can constitute rape but then that's why I don't believe this case or rather I see no wrong doin' on dude's part

Report: Seeking Influence With Trump, Qataris Mull Investment In Newsmax

The government of Qatar, in an apparent attempt to win political influence with a historically unfriendly Trump administration, has sought a stake in the Trump-allied media company Newsmax, Politico reported Tuesday.

Citing unnamed people with knowledge of the talks, Politico reported that Qatari officials have met multiple times this year with representatives of the company. Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy (pictured above), a longtime friend of President Donald Trump, told Politico that its reporting was “all false,” and Qatari officials declined to comment to Politico.

One unnamed source cited by Politico said the talks between Newsmax and Qatar have taken place in both New York and at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s private club in Florida. Tom Barrack, a close friend of Trump’s who reportedly met with Special Counselor Robert Mueller’s team, helped set up the talks between Newsmax and the Qataris, according to Politico’s Ben Schreckinger.

Qatar has sought to solidify its relationship with Trump after the President backed a Saudi- and United Arab Emirates-led blockade of the country last year. The blockade exposed a rift between Trump and then-Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who called on the Gulf states leading the effort, also including Egypt and Bahrain, to ease the blockade.

The Qataris are considering a $90 million investment in Newsmax, per Politico. Prefacing an interview last year with Ruddy, Miguel Forbes claimed Newsmax “does in excess of $100M in annual revenue.”

WSJ: In Mock Mueller Interview, Trump Took 4 Hours To Get Through 2 Questions

President Trump’s preparations for a potential interview with Special Counsel have not exactly been going smoothly, according to a Monday Wall Street report, which detailed the difficulty the President had making it through a mock interview:

In an informal, four-hour practice session, Mr. Trump’s lawyers were only able to walk him through two questions, given the frequent interruptions on national-security matters along with Mr. Trump’s loquaciousness, one person familiar with the matter said.

Trump’s lawyers have set a May 17 deadline — the one-year anniversary of Mueller’s appointment — to decide whether the President should sit down for questioning by the special counsel, the Journal reported. If Trump decides not to grant Mueller a voluntary interview, it could prompt the special counsel to subpoena him, escalating a legal battle.

Trump last week shook up his legal team by adding on Emmet Flood to replace Ty Cobb, the White House counsel responsible for responding to the Russia probe. Trump also recently brought on former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani to represent him personally. Giuliani has taken a more aggressive tone to dealing with Mueller in various interviews with the press.

Cohen Distraught Over Raid’s Impact On Family: ‘This Is All Ruining Their Lives’

President Donald Trump’s personal attorney is reportedly most concerned about how the FBI raid of his house, hotel and home last month is impacting his family, Vanity Fair reported Monday evening.

According to friends of Michael Cohen who spoke with Vanity Fair, Cohen is concerned the raid and subsequent media attention is “ruining their lives.”

“I live for my wife and my kids,” he has reportedly told friends in recent weeks. “I’d die for my wife and my kids. And this is all ruining their lives.”

Cohen has called the situation a “nightmare” and is reportedly struggling as he’s become isolated from Trump and others in Washington, D.C., who he reportedly claims have treated him like he’s “disposable.”

That sense of isolation has increased since Trump’s new lawyer Rudy Giuliani has started making media appearances, spreading confusion and fanning the flames of inquiry surrounding a $130,000 payment Cohen made to porn actress Stormy Daniels just before the 2016 election, reportedly to keep her quiet about an alleged affair she had with Trump a decade ago.

Cohen has told friends that he’s had no peace since Buzzfeed published the Christopher Steele dossier, which made multiple claims about Cohen interacting with Russians throughout the 2016 campaign. Cohen filed a defamation lawsuit against Buzzfeed, but recently dropped the suit after the FBI raid.

Last month, the FBI seized at least eight boxes of physical documents from Cohen’s house, hotel and office, according Vanity Fair. The agents obtained a warrant to seize records related to the Daniels payment and documents about Karen McDougal, a former Playboy playmate who allegedly had an affair with Trump. Among other items, they also seized documents related to taxi medallions Cohen owns in New York and his communications with the Trump campaign.

NYT: Trump Tells Macron He Is Leaving The Iran Nuke Deal

President Donald Trump told French President Emmanuel Macron that he is going to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal, the New York Times reported Tuesday morning.

It was widely expected that Trump would pull out of the nuclear deal, which he has called the “worst” deal the U.S. has ever agreed to and has spent the past several days tweeting criticism of former Secretary of State John Kerry, who brokered the deal.

Trump is set to officially announce his decision at 2 p.m. ET Tuesday.

According to a person briefed on the conversation who spoke with the Times, Trump will announce Tuesday afternoon that the U.S. will renew all of its former sanctions against Iran, which were waived as part of the 2015 deal. Trump plans to levy new economic sanctions against the country as well, according to the Times.

Talks to keep the deal in place fell through primarily because of Trump’s insistence that fuel production limits stay in place post 2030, a second person familiar with the matter told the Times.

First Lady’s Spox Snarks Media Reporting On Copied Pamphlet: ‘Be Best’!

First lady Melania Trump on Monday unveiled a list of priorities for her time in the White House: “well-being, social media use, and opioid abuse.”

Soon, however, Ryan Mac of BuzzFeed News noticed something about one of the documents on the White House website devoted to the first lady’s platform: Trump had simply repurposed a 2014 Federal Trade Commission manual, “Net Cetera: Chatting with Kids About Being Online.”

It was now called “Talking With Kids About Being Online” and included Trump’s advice in a forward: “So what is the best way to protect our kids online? Talk with them. Communicate your values clearly so your kids can make thoughtful decisions when they face tricky situations.”

Otherwise, it was a blatant rip-off, a potentially damaging one given Trump’s brush with plagiarism during the presidential campaign. But the White House wasn’t sorry.

“The FTC approached us to include this as a good resource and we were happy to do so,” Stephanie Grisham, a spokeswoman for the first lady, told TPM in an email Monday night. “It is a government resource, which is meant to be distributed.” Grisham pointed to a diplomatically worded blog post from earlier in the day by the FTC’s Nate Wood that acknowledged working with the first lady.

By Tuesday, Grisham appeared somewhat frustrated, releasing yet another statement:

Despite providing countless outlets with ample background, information, and on-the-record comments from the FTC, some media have chosen to take a day meant to promote kindness and positive efforts on behalf of children, to instead lob baseless accusations towards the First Lady and her new initiatives.”
[…]
Our office will continue to focus on helping children and I encourage members of the media to attempt to Be Best in their own professions, and focus on some of the children and programs Mrs. Trump highlighted in her remarks yesterday.

Unrepentant, yes, but not unchanged. An updated report from BuzzFeed News noted:

Be Best’s website changed the language describing it from “a booklet by First Lady Melania Trump and the FTC” to “a FTC booklet, promoted by first lady Melania Trump”.

When Trump endorses a candidate he loses. So with Trump speaking out against Blankenship, he’ll most likely win in a landslide.
