you made the response to Jax Teller playing arrow, and me saying Steven Amell bodied that role, redefined the character, and that will be tough to top....
and i said that Jax Teller was a great actor, but it's gonna be tough to top Amell...
which lead you to make a broad statement about DC that's just bullshit....
the point is Amell did a great job as Arrow....and where's the lie in that?
Arrows first 3 seasons were great but I'm having trouble getting through season 6. It's gotten too corny for me. I gotta finish it though because they are wrapping the whole show up.
Flash season 1 was good but I can't really get into season 2. Lol
DC is Shutting Down Its Vertigo Line
For 26 years, Vertigo Comics has been the home to DC Comics’ more mature themed series, including PREACHER and FABLES. However, early next year, it’ll be no more, as DC Comics will shift towards a simplified age-labeled system. The comic titan announced today that it would reorganize its comic structure. It will “retire” the Vertigo brand, along with DC Zoom and DC Ink. Starting in January 2020, it will rebrand these companies as DC Kids, DC and DC Black Label.

Ohhhh so this was that whole "dc black label" rumor from a year or so ago. Rumors were going crazy that reeves batman and the joker movie were going to be released under "dc black" and be completely separate from the dceu. They at least got the name right for that rumor lol.
Sucks to see vertigo go away, but its not like dc will completely stop producing vertigo comics stories. Some great stories came out of vertigo tho.

Rumors are reporting that WB are in talks for a swamp thing movie since the TV show got cancelled but had so much potential. Also saw a rumor about a teen titans film but both should be taken with a grain of salt. A swamp thing film would be a great intro to justice league dark or at least zatanna and constantine.
I genuinely don't understand the hate for that flick. The only issue I have with it now is the overuse of that zoom-and-refocus shit with the camera. That's it. Everything else, the storytelling, character development, the action scenes, the score... It's just a good ass movie.
A new rumor suggests that The Batmancould potentially serve as a mini Planet of the Apes reunion. According to a new report from Batman on Film, Andy Serkis is rumored to be in the running to join Matt Reeves' upcoming DC Comics film.
Serkis previously worked on the Planet of the Apes franchise, including with Reeves on Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and War for the Planet of the Apes. Outside of that, his extensive career includes Gollum in the Lord of the Rings franchise, Supreme Leader Snoke in the Star Warsfranchise, and Ulysses Klaue in Black Panther.
Although the tidbit of information is currently just a rumor, it doesn't seem out of the question given Serkis and Reeves' past work. The actor even addressed the possibility of it in an interview last year, saying that he'd follow Reeves to any franchise.
"Oh, for sure! I mean, I'd go to the edge of the created universe with Matt [Reeves]," Serkis shared last year. "I mean, he's the most brilliant director. I would work with anything with him again, y'know, I mean, I absolutely adore him and we're very good friends, close friends, and I think he's an extraordinary director so, for sure."
Right now, I'm involved in The Batman," Reeves said in a previous interview. "What it will be called ultimately, I don't know. Aquaman is going to be very different from the Todd Phillips Joker movie, and that's going to be different from Shazamand Harley Quinn. Warners believes they don't have to try to develop a giant slate that has to have all the plans for how it's going to connect. What they need to try and do is make good movies with these characters."
"It's very much a point of view-driven, noir Batman tale. It's told very squarely on his shoulders, and I hope it's going to be a story that will be thrilling but also emotional," Reeves said in an interview earlier this year. "It's more Batman in his detective mode than we've seen in the films. The comics have a history of that. He's supposed to be the world's greatest detective, and that's not necessarily been a part of what the movies have been. I'd love this to be one where when we go on that journey of tracking down the criminals and trying to solve a crime, it's going to allow his character to have an arc so that he can go through a transformation."
