Well... shit. Fans have been wondering whether Ben Affleck would return as Batman for a long time, but THR has now dropped the bombshell that Henry Cavill will likely not reprise the role of Superman...
According to THR, Henry Cavill will not be returning to play Superman in Warner Bros.' DC Films Universe.
Though neither side has confined this, the trade reports that "talks broke down for a cameo in 'Shazam!' due to scheduling conflicts, and the door is now closing on other potential appearances for the actor."
In addition, sources claim that the studio has decided to shift focus to the plannedSupergirl movie, and don't intent to put another solo Man of Steel project into production for several years.

It has something.so.to.with civil being signed for the witcher Netflix series and a super girl movie as if we asked for that. super girl will be an origin movie and will also be a teen movie and since superman Is too old to be in supergirls universe they decided to do away with Cavil's superman.. dc is stupid they can keep cavil. They can just make the case that Kara zor-el has been in stasis in a crashed ship while clark was growing up on earth and it will work. Why does dc has problems building its universe? So I guess that justi e league show down with darkseid isn't happening. That's where dc failed they should have went the universe building route bloke marvel. Every one of there movies should've been stand alone and justice league would've been an else worlds movie with a different superman actor. I see this super girl movie as a bullsbit cashgrab to keep up with mcu's captain marvel. Dc needs to cut the shit and focus
