The official COVID-19/Coronavirus Discussion Thread...aka I hope I don't get the Rona

So then it's all speculation on part of the people being loud and stating what they believe his consequences should be.

Sounds about crazy.

The speculation is because he won't speak up on his own. And while that is his right, there's also other people affected by his decision to not get vaccinated who also have spoken up and the consequences have long been known. It's been said for weeks now that if he didn't get vaccinated the Nets were gonna sit him instead of expecting him to just show up for less than half their games so this isn't new news. It also doesn't help that those closest to Kyrie that have spoken up haven't said the most intelligent things and Kyrie's only public stances have been shown through him pushing conspiracy theory bullshit on his social media pages.

I know you want to make Kyrie the victim in this but he's far from it and this frustration with him you're seeing from not just media members but fans has been about 6 years in the making. This animosity towards him didn't just appear because of his stance on the vaccine.

Just read an article that Barbados is recording a 5 fold increase in covid cases in the last month, coincidentally they also had a jump in fully vaccinated people in the last month. End of August they had just over 100G fully vaccinated and a month later they increased that number to just under 150G currently.

What do u mean by your 2nd sentence? The rest of your paragraph has nothing to do with the situation. It's added bullshit to water down his "speculated stance". Which is dhalsim levels reach

Not making him to be a victim at all. But if he genuinely believes what he does and loses his livelihood over it, then one can argue he is a victim. Your point about animosity means nothing bc he didn't actually feel the full.weight of wrath until his vaccine stance. The nets org decision has absolutely nothing to do with any of his actions/stances before this. That nulls your point.

my wife is an LVN/nurse case manager and she’s seeing covid cases go up in her line of work. we are also seeing another outbreak starting in our church again.

It happened once. But luckily, we stepped back for 6 months. We only watched online. They got it. 2 died, although they won’t admit it’s from covid.

now we are seeing folks starting to get sick and it’s covid again…

so we are once again going to step back and let it play out.

You said it's speculation on his actual stance. I said that speculation exists solely because Kyrie himself won't come out and say what his stance his officially. So the whole "he's doing it in representation of other people" thing is bullshit until he confirms it himself.

And I never said the Nets had anything to do with his actions before this. I was responding to you saying people being mad at Kyrie is fake outrage and trying to connect it to and blame it solely on the vaccine. Nah people been annoyed with Kyrie for years now. This isn't just about the vaccine. This is years worth of shit involving him and his on the court results not matching up to the drama he keeps creating off of it. He did feel the effects of it because, and this is why I said reading the stories is important because it gives the backstrories to what is happening now, you'd know that there's a reason he ended up in BK with Kevin Durant. There's a reason that Boston team fell apart when he was there but instantly got better once he left. There's a reason Cleveland traded someone as talented as he is right in the prime of his career. It wasn't just him and KDs decision made without any influence. That decision was influenced by other teams not wanting to deal with the headaches he causes off the court.

I've watched this happen with every country in succession to their vaccine campaigns. Is it every single country's citizens going buck wild after vaccine?? I don't think so.

Edit. And even if they were going buck wild, isn't that the point of the vaccine(or was) so qe could get back to normal?

Ok so then the speculation is also bullshit until he confirms it himself. Do u disagree?

So what I gather from this is, LBJ took a Cleveland team with a super toxic player (kyrie) to the finals and won. As a Bron Stan I'll accept that and

The LBJ block>>>Kyrie 3

Do u disagree?

No I don't disagree but I see that as Kyrie's fault not the actual media..I also think that Kyrie's frustration with the media, outside of a couple instances, is self inflicted and this is also a result of that. So I have little to no sympathy for him in that regard.

As for the 2nd part you'd be right on both ends. That block was more impactful than that 3.

I'm good w leaving it at that

out here, everything seems back to full normal. Parties, concerts, sporting events (which is where we suspect one of our church members got his 2nd case of covid from), it seems to be 50/50 with masked/unmasked. And really…it feels more than normal, it does feel like everyone is just getting out MORE. The traffic is much more ridiculous than usual. I was seeing videos of how packed theme parks out here are. 2-3 hours to get into Knotts for their Halloween event? I don’t remember that being an issue, or maybe they’re over blowing it? idk.

My kid who is 19 now, went to a pit party(open area with a bonfire) and was drinking and shit. Sure as shit the little shit got sick. From covid? Maybe idk*. What I do know is, any time a group of people get together it's a high chance someone is walking away with a germ they've never been exposed to and end up sick few days later. The chances of all of us sharing the exact same germs is highly unlikely but a good chance we do share a number of them. Soooo, if you happen to take up close quarters with someone who has germs you've never been exposed to, you are prolly gonna end up sick or at the very least not feeling like yourself(small viral load but still a carrier/transmitter).

*We don't know if it's covid cuz you're asked to quarantine if youre sick, not go get a test to make sure you have to quarantine.

same here, any “covid symptoms” and no doc will see you, you “have covid” and are required to stay home.
