No. They don't consider race a large factor. They consider family, lineage, nationality and values a large factor than a blanket racial factor.
Race in America was used to separate non-slaves from slaves. Then it became a proxy for caste. Now we go off of family, lineage and Americanness.
Race is dead. There are too many immigrants and classes within those immigrants populations that have a diversity of experiences for them to align according to race or ethnicity.
You are talking about a populations such as Indians that are used to a caste system and understand it well and they bring that understanding to America and employ it here.
You are talking about Latinos that understand a lineage based racial categorization that is more dependent of phenotype than blood and bringing it here. Not mention, nationality is more important than ethnicity to them.
You are talking about East Asians that understand strict hierarchal societies and the value of rank and class. They bring that here. They care more about nationality than race like Latinos.
The Black and White American understanding of race that dominated America is long gone. We are more like Brazil or India than 1950s America. Citizenship status, lineage, and family matters.
Race is dead and MAGA is accelerating it. Native Black Americans holding on to it is only causing confusion.
Native-born Black folks always get treated poorly because we descend from chattel slaves that legally was excluded from citizenship and equity in the USA. It has nothing to do with skin color or racialization.
