COMMUNITY The Official 2024 Presidential Election Thread

Added to Calendar: 11-05-24

This

The economy is the MAIN thing people should worry about as well as foreign policy and human rights…that’s all the president should really focus on

Issues such as health, education, religion, race and family structure has a threshold and you can only go so far in that area without pushing buttons. The people who run those communities have to be more responsible when it comes to that than the govt…

The only thing I expect from a president is a balanced economy and protected rights

Personal Ideologies aren’t, and should never be a federal issue
We're not gonna sit up here and act like Trump didn't use fear of transgenders as a main political issue in this campaign. Cultural issues will always be a part of national politics.

I get it. That was my biggest concern about this election... ppl who survived abuse have to deal with an abuser controlling their country in such a way. As an survivor of abuse myself, I feel antsy about a nigga that couldn't keep his dick in his pants on a plane telling me how life go. However, I figured out long before Trump that being white is more important than being a survivor in this country so I'm gonna take that L humbly.

It's funny cause Trump gained voters in every demographic. Trump almost won NJ. Trump got close in NY.

This to me means that the only thing people cares about was the economy. And rightfully so. shit hard as fuck out here.

And Kamala had rich celebrities in commercials.

She should have did nothing but don't talk about how to increase wages.

People didn't want a 25k house buying credit.

People wanted to know if they can go back to affording groceries.

Wildly bad showing.
I said something similar

Trump’s win disagrees with you. He did not run on packages to monolithic groups. He ran on people’s personal, individual needs, not some overarching agenda based on identity politics.

Identity politics are dead after this one.

Bro Dems will NEVER win another election again but lets play this game.

The Republicans can bring out JD in 2028 and he can offer Nothing like Trump and he will still win IF THE DEMS DONT PUT TOGETHER A CARE PACKAGE FOR BLACKS, ASIANS AND ANY OTHER VOTING BLOCK THEY WANT TO HAVE THEIR VOTE.

I don't why you are and ONLY you is fighting this simple concept.

Nobody black in their right picking mind come 2028 is gonna vote for the Dems if they are not offering a Care Package to fit that groups goals and needs.

I can promise you that. The Message is out that if you want to earn these folks vote the dems need to do what I said

We are talking about the Dems. The shit is on them. Not the Republicans. The dems who need black folks to help them win and other groups.

You will need care packages.

You are not Trump. You play that game and act like Trump and not offer shit, I promise you, you will lay a egg.

Id be the 1st to champion blacks not to vote for the Dems if they don't have some kind of care package specifically for black folks.
See Cubes plan.

Don't ask me no follow up questions that you've asked before.

It's just that simple my guy

What I keep talking about. Nobody trust these mfers anymore and they don't know how to pivot from not being able to control the information. It is why we need viable options outside of the 2 parties. We need people willing to shift the status quo. Whichever side you vote for means you hate some form of government they are proposing. So if we all hate the government on some level the solution is stop giving the government power. Slash and limit them. Bloated, corrupt, and no longer serving its intended purpose.

It’s more the seven trans k

The talk about abortion was another topic that if she won, she she had no control over changing.

It’s a state level issue now and she couldn’t overturn that to a federal

So therefore, her campaigning on it it up at every turn was just wasted words

She should’ve focused on economic issues only. If the people feel like you will make America affordable, they would’ve turned out and voted for her, both sides, but the dems campaign focus was not where it needed to be.
This is true.

She got a poor turn out because she didn't focus more on the economy, Illegal immigrants, and the border. I heard it a lot out here in Texas and (in general) San Antonio, which is funny because it's more than half Latino in population. folks feel they can't afford to pay rent or buy groceries and they blame that along with crime on people from other countries coming here under the current regime's watch. the average person who is poor to lower middle class was eating up the misinformation and statements Trump and his cohorts was putting out in the public.

Some people might have laughed off the shit he was saying about immigrants eating folks pets or called what he said about illegals taking over neighborhoods as false, but a good portion of poor people no matter what race were not.

It's kinda sad talking to some of the lower income black, white, and brown people these last few months giving credit to Trump for how he gave them checks, gas being lower, or the economy being better and how Biden and Harris screwed stuff up. They didn't understand that a good reason stuff is more expensive now is due to stuff Trump did or didn't do correctly and the reason stuff was better initially in his term was due to Obama before him.

How was campaigning on abortion wasted words when it was a popular agenda that won in every single state down every single ballot?

Abortion was a popular agenda. It won on every ballot. That's not wasted words.

Your point about economic issues is flawed because nobody who criticized Kamala on the economy can explain why the economy under Trump will be better. He has no economic plan. She does. He wants to implement crushing tariffs and eliminate a large chuck of the workforce by deporting them. He also wants to cut taxes for the wealthiest earners and gut social programs like Social Security.

Trump's economic plans are only beneficial for the wealthy. It does not make America affordable.
you aren't wrong in what you said, but I don't think you are looking at it from the point of view of the folks who didn't vote or who begrudgingly voted for Trump.

the only thing a lot of those voters were looking for is making stuff cheaper for them (even though it most likely will not under Trump) and getting the illegals out of the country. Honestly a lot of poor voters cared more about immigration I think than many who are middle class and above could fathom. They blame a lot of their issues on illegal immigrants and the government.

I definitely agree that a lot of these folks who didn't vote or voted for Trump that are poor or lower middle class are gonna be in for a rude awakening If he does what he says he is with these tariffs and deportation, but they don't realize it yet.

It's gonna be an interesting few years to say the least

One day there will be an honest assessment of how this all started because of white folks racist backlash to Barack Obama and if his presidency was worth it

That's why I have said that the Dems won't give Black Americans reparations because, even if they agree in principle, they're gonna be afraid of the monumental backlash that would ensue. It would make the backlash to Obama seem like nothing, and would even be much worse than the backlash to the civil rights legislation of the 60s. It would keep them out of power for a half century. It could be that bad.

The economy is the distraction from everything else but its perfect because while everyone is worrying about there pocketbooks the legs are being cut out from underneath them.... ahh the american dream ... rugged individualism

Every election the "economy" is the issue with no gains for most people thats a hell of a card trick
Don't agree at all. The economy is never a distraction, it's most people's #1 issue. It's how both Clinton and Obama won.

And this is what makes you a coon

You understand that yet you still support them

All yall understand that the Democrats are anti-black but you're still very much pro-democrat

Why are you for something that's not for you?

Are y'all going to live the rest of your lives like this?

Slavery.

How many ppl took advantage of it? Every other day someone walks up to me asking if Walmart is hiring, we frequently get new hires, and most of them quit within weeks/months. Like I said earlier, the only ppl that stick around are Mexicans/other South Americans that more than likely aren't documented. "Who's gonna clean the toilets" is a question that still hasn't been answered yet. There's very little incentive to work those jobs other than they need to be done. Not a government issue, but pro immigration reform lawmakers know this reality and still politicize a separate immigration issue to instill fear of jobs no one was looking for being taken away. The Dems fucked up by not helping the ppl fight that fear and giving them false hope of so called social progression. J. Lo's crocodile tears aren't gonna put food on the table.
