If the supreme Court ruling has u thinking "Trump can get away with anything now" u misunderstood the ruling.

Presidents don't have unilateral power.
Not get away with anything, but a lot more for sure. He did things that were considered election interference that had to be taken out of Jack Smith’s indictment because they were official acts.

And Presidents do have a lot of unilateral power, especially when it comes to war and foreign policy.

So you can’t say there’s no threat when the extent of their power is limited primarily by their personal integrity.

Your last sentence is an exaggeration. It's true only to an extent n also doesn't satisfy the argument that a guardrail is gone.

Y'all just read up on corporatism and corporatocracy. Tell me if that sounds like our system, and whether that contradicts democracy.

And notice historians and economists refer to its influence in America as early as the late 1800s and ask yourself if it is fading or getting worse, regardless of a trump presidency.

The game is rigged

If the guardrail was being able to criminally indict a president for official acts, isn’t that at least in part gone?

And if a guardrail was Trump’s cabinet and now that cabinet will do whatever he bids, is that not now gone?

And if Project 2025 is any indicator, wouldn’t more guardrails be removed?

I get you wanting to play devil’s advocate, but are you really trying to say there’s no additional risk at all?

Any of yall read this?

Before I get to the rest of your post let me help u understand something. If they had ruled that a president can be charged for official acts do u not realize the can of worms that would open up for every single president past present and future? Yes this includes Biden and Obama.

Not to mention that not charging presidents for official acts has always been the common practice. To rule otherwise would be unprecedented.

Yeah you really can’t name a period in time where presidents have been able to be convicted for official acts. The recent ruling was not a change, just the quiet part being stated out loud and cemented.

Exactly.

Biden, Obama, Bush, Clinton....they all know that ruling works in their favor and prefer it that way. They only want the voters to believe it's some big bad scary thing.

If Trump's cabinet allows him to do illegal acts then it is by definition not an "official act" and he can be charged for it. This is my emphasis on the immunity ruling. He can't do whatever the hell he wants. That's fear mongering shit to spook u.

I'll ignore that he continues to deny being part of project 2025 for arguments sake. He can't pull off project 2025. He doesn't have the power to do so.
