looking at it in more detail, his line is not even calibrated right. It's not parallel to the other lines e.g. the halfway line therefore skewing the angle. The other thing to point out is whether the actual footage was a split second delayed from when the actual pass occurred from the player currently with the ball. This then gives a different interpretation of Kane's position being ahead of the other defenders too.
