It's the only borough of NYC that I recognize as authentically NYC.

I did something like a service call today, so I’m talking to the lady and the lady goes before I called I called my neighbor and asked if she was experiencing the same thing. Could you go explain to her what you explained to me once we are through talking..

So I say yea, she stops mid convo to tell me that my cologne smells amazing. I take it as a simple compliment, say thanks, she all smiles, issue done.

When I was young I used to have the weed man out in the Bronx man. I lived in Harlem in the 80s, that shit was bad.

Night time, winter in the Bronx, I coming back from the weed spot and hanging out with some people on the blade, saw a motherfucking man on fire, running down the street, screaming.

People peeked their heads out their windows and someone yelled, "Stop, drop and roll you fucking idiot."

Dude got hit by a car and the fire out. The car sped off. Man got up and shook that shit off.

Every one acted like that shit was normal. I ain't from NYC. I ain't go to the Bronx for 3 months.

I'm never quite sure whether you're insightful or insane.
 
You ever realized that black people were really into baseball in all the old movies and from grandparents. Grandparents that were born in the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s that are still living today. I always wanted to know when the switch happen that black people stopped caring about baseball/ stick ball and focused more on football and basketball.
