I've been saying that for a while.

The issue is we don't have visionary filmmakers or storytellers in general.

Anybody with an ounce of talent sellout for the Disney, Warner Bros, legacy property bag.

These filmmakers don't even have their style.

I'ma take Ryan Coolger for an example. This man made one fucking Black trauma porn film that White liberals cried over and he's done nothing but remakes ever since.

He doesn't have his own style. He doesn't have his own voice. His own themes.

The only great American filmmaker that is in the pantheon and relevant and does major theater shit is Christopher Nolan.

All these other motherfuckers out here can't even get 100 million dollar budget and recoup unless it is a fucking remake or live adaptation.

Shit is gross. American art has greatly declined.

I don't think it's that wild. We all just different people. I don't really have a desire to have my favorite artists pop at my Bday. IMO, their time is better served rocking crowds than entertaining me and my little circle. Apparently, a lot of people disagree. It's all good.

Shit I'd have a singer perform for just my wife & I if the shit was reasonable and it's something my wife wanted. That shit seems great to me especially if you could have said person perform your favorite songs and not the shit they did that you didn't really care for.
