Truancy is an actual crime enforced by the cops. Same for underage smoking (possession of tobacco product by a minor). Both are citations issued by the cops, what's is she not clear about? This shit makes no sense to me 'cause I grew up with it.

Crazy how things were in the 80's.


There was actually a designated smoking area at my high school.


Not an area where students would hang out and smoke..........but a designated smoking area sanctioned by the school for kids to smoke.


Think you had to be 16, but still.


Looking back on it now just seems surreal.

Fucked up on multiple levels, because they didn't care about the kids getting an education at all.


Only thing that mattered to them was getting them to attend just the minimum amount of days to prevent the school from losing any of it's funding.
