Your color is already a bit dark so that's a major factor working against you. I did 25% of your original color and it seems like that's the best look. Anything lighter will make it a blurred mess. Anything darker won't really be that visible.

Red circle is the darker one. Idk how or if Goldie options are the same. Im using a Gaussian blur @ 10 x 10 pixel RLE method. It may not even come out the same. It's gets somewhat distorted to me and looks a mess. LOL I tried tho. It's harder working with dark colors wit a dark background.
