I think us being alone was a factor. He said we look like tourists and people would try to get us. I figured he knew what he was talking about because he's from there.

Some islands have beaches that only locals go to. They don't promote them to tourist. Back home we would love the days when there were no cruise ships and stuff because it was better to be there without tourist.

Only women we met were the women who were working at our resort. They were hella nice.

On the streets or beach though, it was an over abundance of men.

The minute u get there if u hop in a taxi from a hotel the driver more n likely would stick with yall throughout your visit and show u around.
