corporatist dems/repubs may not want it, but a large part of society does. but who says it has to be socalism? or communism? or any other ism??? we can make a whole new system that benefits and ensures the wellness of it citizens overall

I agree, problem is 71 million+ want it a particular way as we've seen with Trump, a large portion wants progressive ideas and another large portion wants centrist... we gotta reach an accord or physical argument will push the winner's choice to the top...
