The
Country
Has
Always
Been
Divided

And bipartisanship has always come at our expense

It's never been divided as much as it is right now in the modern era.

I feel like a lot of people are really underestimating how The United States looks right now. On the world stage we look like clowns. On our home stage we look like a dysfunctional ass family.

Nobody is asking you to be best friends with white supremacist and racist so people really need to stop peddling that nonsense. What niggas need to understand is to make any progress AS A COUNTRY at some point niggas need to get out of that mindset that we're just gonna take our ball and go home. That's not how our country is built or setup. There's too many people on either side for either side to think they can thrive alone.

The cold hard fact is that without showing some semblance of the best of us working with the worst of us we ain't ever gone be shit.

On my first deployment I was on a 6 vehicle convoy with 4 of us in each Humvee. We had a driver, and 3 passengers. I was in the passenger seat so I was the A driver. I basically guide the driver and do all the little shit so that he can focus on the road and not running over a fucking IED. We had a gunner in the back behind the driver and a corpsman medic behind me. I know for a fact that our driver that day had a racist family. He showed me. They were some deep south, cross burning, confederate flag waving white supremacist. He didn't claim any of that shit but me being black wasn't just gonna give him the benefit of the doubt cause you just never know.

Anyway, the 4 of us went on 9 convoys together. We're literally looking for "terrorist" and being in Afghanistan you can imagine what "terrorist" look like out there. I was one of only 2 black guys on our whole convoy. So 2 out of 24 were black and 5 out of 24 were Mexicans. That's 17 white boys with at least 10 of them who I know for a fact probably voted for Trump and have racist families. That's facts. But on those convoys, imagine if I got up and decided that I'm just not gonna work with these guys. I could easily have done that. It also would've gotten me killed and probably everybody else.

My point is that we are too far down the path that we are own to think that either side can just get up and walk away and none of us face any consequences. I could see if Trump only got like 40M votes but that's not what happened. 70M people voted for that man. That means that this divide we have as a country is way deeper than a lot of you niggas are understanding. This is not a situation where walking away with your pride is going to lead to any results.

Nobody is asking Joe Biden to elevate white supremacist and totally disregard black people so stop acting like that. What some of us are saying is that the only way and absolute only way that we can make any substantial progress in this country is going to have to be for all of us to show the ability and willingness to work together on some things. Not everything but definitely some things.

But if everybody keeps having this mindset that they're the only ones getting fucked up and only their enemies re getting what they want then we're all gonna suffer.

These old head, republican leaning dems only got one or two election cycles left.

The young democrats not fucking with them. Even if it means the republicans will pick up seats and be in charge, its not gonna matter.

The split is coming

You must have missed a lot of details about Joe Biden's campaign then. He's not running as and old head Republican leaning Democrat. He's running as a Democrats that's embracing progressive ideology while also possessing the ability to actually work with Republicans when necessary better than any progressive Democrat could ever do.

Face the facts. Some people in this country need their ego stroked. Mainly white conservatives. Bernie Sanders would get washed pushing his agenda on white conservatives. Joe Biden can push that same agenda to them and they will listen. Why? It's because conservatives can see Joe Biden's history in politics on being able to work with their side on any issue. Niggas hear that and think it mans that he's being racist and pandering. No it doesn't. It means he sees the path to winning on issues and knows how to execute it better than any other Democrat right now.

You have to understand that otherwise you'll just be yelling nonstop about America being dumb and not embracing progressive ideas. How about you start by electing a Democrat who can at least talk to conservatives and even get a big chunk of them to vote for him.

The country is basically at a 50/50 split. You millions of Republicans openly telling you that they are willing to fuck with Joe Biden and the mere thought of working with Republicans has so many people jaded that they are willing to bypass that for a mythical scenario when someone else who is a Democrat and not named Joe Biden can push progressive ideology on conservatives. It's not happening bruh. Too many people are set in their ways on what they want and how they want it to look.

You're not winning over any conservatives (which you need to do because there are so many) with a Democrat not named Joe Biden. He is literally the only candidate who is the best of both worlds. There's other candidates who are better in one scope but not both. The country is so divided that we need both. We are gridlocked and cannot move forward on some selfish shit. The last 4 years showed you that.

What does this tell you about actual conservatives? If Democrats who are more conservative lose and Republicans who are conservative win then what does that tell you?
It tells me that being conservative lite during a major recession and being in a deadly pandemic collapsing our healthcare industry is a losing strategy. What does Democrats losing downballot against a party with its leader who never even reached over 50% appproval ratings tell you?

Do y'all no see how Joe Biden is dominating the suburbs this election? he flipped the suburbs. No other candidate was gonna do that. That was going to be necessary to win.

Not talking about Biden.

Talking about the dem party as a whole.

You gonna act like you dont see the fracture not just with elected dem officials but also the party voters?

Wether its bernie bros or just very left leaning young people, the elder statements of the dem party just doesnt speak for them.

The only reason they are even the same party is because there arent any real alternatives but to join forces against a very united republican party.

That wont last forever though. Young democrats are tired of the Pelosis of their party, and in another election cycle or two, their going to say fuck it and very vocally become a liberal party, even if it means losing PA and GA again

And don't try and spin my post as me catering to white supremacist

No nigga

I'm explaining where we are as a country and the only path forward

Any black person that thinks black people are going to get anywhere or make any progress in this country ALONE BY OUR DAMN SELVES is delusional

We all know what you want. Think about how we can actually get it.

If there was ever going to be a black uprising or political revolution for black people then it would've already happened.

The only way forward at this point is to look at where we are and evaluate what is necessary for us to continue to make progress and move forward. That goes for everybody in this damn country. I've spend a lot of time outside of The United States in places where people hate us and in places where people worship us. Right now we look like a bunch of dumb ass rich kids who can't appreciate what we have so we go out and blow it all away while the less fortunate people around the world just watch us waste it all.

We look trash on the worlds stage. We look trash at home.

How the fuck do niggas think any of this shit is gonna change?

It tells me that being a more left leaning Democrat would've led to more losses. Learn how to win in the short term for the long term. Stop trying to get it all in one scoop. The wrong move can set you back for a whole era.

Word to The Supreme Court, The 2000 election, Electing Ronald Regan, Going to war in Iraq/Afghanistan, Democrats losing The House in 2014.

If nothing else, the people want exciting legislation and allowed to dream big.

The dems need to start running on socialist ass views because it excites people. Tell people the new green deal, huge taxes on the rich, universal health care and all that is coming and you will excite them.

People are tired of the Democrats platform being "a return to normalcy"

And dont tell about what their policies actually are. No one goes online and reads policy. How many of the 150 million people who voted actually read policy? Lets keep it real.

The democratic party is as stale as a mfer. If the republicans push a relatively new, likeable candidate in 2028, there is a good chance they will win.

Have you been ignoring Joe Biden's campaign this whole time? Look at his campaign, look at the people he's working with, and look at what you're asking for.

Did you ignore all the downballot left leaning policy wins I just posted? In the short term McConnell and Republicans may be picking Biden's cabinet and Democrats didn't flip a single state legislature during a redistricting year to combat GOP gerrymandering. 2022 gonna be a bloodbath if Trump continues to make his base believe this election was a fraud and Obstruction from the senate and house with more Democrat seats lost.
