It’s hard for me to extricate myself from that or look at him in any other way. He’s this concatenation of all these misfires and abortive attempts and a kind of desperate wanting.

He’s kind of the embodiment of it, you know? The full catastrophe of the tragedy of tragedy of ambition. To me, and I’ve said this before, the show could have been called The
Inexorable Death of Kendall Roy.

DEADLINE: Why?

STRONG: Well, as much as I was fighting all along to keep him up above that water line, there was always that undertow was always stronger. His backstory is stuff that I’ve always had, you know? I had a Bible and a timeline that I’ve referred to over seven years working on this. And then of course, I’ve kind of built my own understanding.

DEADLINE: Which is?

STRIONG: His fate was sealed from the moment his father sat him down, when he was seven years old, at the candy kitchen in Bridgehampton and told him he would be the CEO one day. It’s a sentence passed on him as a child.

Lol yeah you’re not wrong and you could look at that way. They were all such snotty and shitty people. Tom is from MN, and MN people are very insecure, so we always want to see a MN person win. Watching this again....I see why roman turned on ken. Shiv realized she had a leg up on ken with the vote and decided to use it. She just wanted to be a bitch and get back at him for any number of things he did to her. But when he denied killing that kid shiv and rome both knew Ken had fuckin lost it. She was literally laughing at the nigga cuz he's insane lol

Shiv didn't have good intentions for why she decided to fuck him at that time, but Ken's reaction made it so her move was the right one. They saved him by stopping him.

Agree, but I’d say either way he was lost and beyond saving. They saved everybody else by stopping him.

People that got it get tired of it. They’ve lived that life their whole life so it’s normal. And nobody appreciates their normal.

But if I suddenly got it like them, I’d definitely not work nor care to do anything that stresses me like the shit they put themselves through.
 
Also remember that phone call she made to matsson after the election. She wanted to stomp on kendall and make the deal go through. She wanted to be new CEO also and that obviously didn't happen. But she got half of what she wanted whereas she probly woulda got none if she voted with kendall.

Lol people are forgetting Kendal plotting to out Roman in almost every episode. This wouldn't have been a family business it would have been Kendall's business
 
I believe the siblings were United until Kendall sat in their dads chair and they realized they couldn’t trust Kendall, he was acting like he deserved the empire. that’s when Roman freaked out along with Gerry coming in and he remember her convo about him not being Logan.

Shiv realized in the meeting about Kendall how he was bulldozing through it, no strategy to inspire confidence, but the only reason Ken has was he deserved it.

They are billionaires fail sons and daughters and it’s not about the money but putting their name on something.
