Online apps/social media has definitely thrown a monkey wrench in how we meet and date. Both men and women have gotten lazy cause folks feel like they just get online and slide in a DM. Last time I went out to a bar, everyone was huddled in their groups looking at each other.

I don't get it either bro. One of my boys is an interesting case. He used to be a super playa and only dealt with black women. He just gave chicks from other races a try after his divorce. He says he can't go back to black women because he feels like he always has to play a role for black women but other women are quicker to accept him for who he is. I was kinda surprised to hear that from him because he's one of those dudes that pretty much gets whatever chick he wants. I don't know. It seems crazy, but I believe that's how he sincerely feels.

Yeah they got have some intentions. If they want a more traditional female you think how that chick would be spending her time. Yeah she might go out and twerk with her girls a weekend here or there. But she also might really be into gardening and volunteers at urban farms.

I got into the vegan lifestyle and meet brother's at local farms and community events.


Like what they gonna do with these women when they get with them? Go to bars and lounges and fuck all the time?
People are multi faceted and in my experience when I met people doing things like I described, I found more success.

But I also had to look at and understand what I wanted. For example I have been with a super traditional black man, didn't want me to work, had a certain way we were to communicate with each other. I have also been with men who were less controlling...so those experiences help me learn what I want. I have dated black men from all different walks of life and black men not from America. I was in the military and traveled alot for work and I think traveling is important.

You live in Hawaii? Like permanently I have never been but always wanted to go. They have beautiful hiking trails.

I don't live in Hawaii. I've just had a couple two week trips there. I would definitely live there if it wasn't so expensive.

I know exactly one Black person that hikes and camps in the wilderness. She's in a big ass group of people that go hiking, camping 3-4 times a year, kayaking, tubing, etc. She's also one of 3 or 4 Black folks in that entire group of something like 40-50 people.
