Scary Movies, Help Me Understand

RusselWilsonJr

Who do you think you are? I am
I don’t get scary movies, more so, I don’t get actively seeking to be afraid. When I watch movies, I love Syfi and Suspense the most. I like to be intrigued and provoked to think the what if’s.

I think it’s just how I’m wired, that’s what’s intrigues me to want to be involved in watching these shows and movies.

This isn’t a movie discussion thread, I just want to know. Those of you that like Horror films, games, books, etc.

Why do you do it, why do you want to feel fear?

I know what you mean it’s like how I won’t buy scary video games

why would I pay to buy a game I’m too scared to kinda play?

why would I volunteer myself to be scared?

As far as movies rarely do I ever find them scary but it doesn’t make sense to see them because they aren’t ever good

thanks for getting the concept of what I’m saying

Horror games usually strip down the player's ability to defend themselves to the most basic level. Like RE will give you less bullets and healing materials so you really have to decide if fighting or running is the better choice and the first playthrough is even better because you don't know what's around the corner.
