What is it about the Winter Olympics that has Pootie (Putin) losing his shit?

Remember the Winter Olympics some years back when it was in Moscow, he pulled this exact same shit when Russia invaded Chechnya at the end of the 1st Week.

Other shit that happened that Year:

-stray Dogs were shot around Moscow to reduce their numbers before the Olympics took place

-that Luge accident that killed someone (I believe this happened that same Year)

-that US Olympic Athlete that was locked in his Bathroom for HOURS in his Hotel Room until he broke out by busting a hole in the Door. Dude even took a Photo that he posted on Social Media.

He didn't think the response from the West wouldn't be so harsh because alot of countries in West Europe depend on Russia for energy...He figured they would back down and splinter especially considering that Germany which is the richest nation in Europe had a pipeline with Russia. And Germany's position was weak when they decided to only send helmets. Putin did not believe that the invasion would result in an economic apocalypse

Also, you all need to stop giving Putin so much credit. Yes, he is smart but he is not a Game of Thrones character. Everyone knows what Putin wants. He wants to re-establish the Russian Empire and get back the nations that were lost during the collapse of the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact. Look at the map fellas. Its very possible that he would try to take Poland next.
