Their lives are on the line too. They are pretty much trained to view everything as a bigger threat than it is, so when someone is actually a threat you can forget about any sort of restraint.

I always saw and heard more bad things about West Philly pigs than any other part of the city. Cowboy mentalities, probably the section of the city least likely to have them living in the neighborhoods they patrol.
