As for what games are backwards compatible, Sony once again states that “the overwhelming majority of the 4,000+ PS4 games are playable on PS5 consoles”. This time, though, the company has published a list of 10 “PS4 only” games, suggesting only fewer than a dozen games will not be backwards compatible. Those games are:
  • DWVR
  • Afro Samurai 2 Revenge of Kuma Volume One
  • TT Isle of Man - Ride on the Edge 2
  • Just Deal With It!
  • Shadow Complex Remastered
  • Robinson: The Journey
  • We Sing
  • Hitman Go: Definitive Edition
  • Shadwen
  • Joe's Diner
As for games that are backwards compatible, “select” PS4 games will benefit from Game Boost, which “may make PS4 games run with a higher or smoother frame rate”.

It's crazy how close this is. It's dropping in a month. Despite everything we're seeing, it still feels like the hype for the coming generation is far lower than what happened with the current generation.

Everyone buying a console at some point. What other item completely sold out before it even releases tho?
It doesn't feel like hype because there isn't really any mystery about what's going on. Everyone is going to be trying to figure out how to get their hands on this shit from now til Feb-mar.
