the company should care
im not saying they’re on the verge of shutting down, but all those empty seats are a bad look that no promotion wants

simple as that

I hear what you are saying but also look at it like this; aew is still in the process of expanding their national footprint and testing the waters by bringing tv to new markets for them

For example
October 4th Dynamite was in Stockton, Ca
October 10th Dynamite was in Independence, Mo
October 18th Dynamite was in Rosenberg, Tx

Outside of Vegas, they really only started hitting the west coast in late 2022.

Plus...they've only been around for 4 years. They're still relatively new. At some point we gotta start realizing that. I think folks try to compare AEW wit the success WWE has NOW.

WWE has a 40+ decade head start on AEW. But I'm sure WWE went thru the same struggles starting out as AEW. That's why don't pay any attention to the twitter pics of the venues. B/c folks are only gonna cherry pick the negative and the shows that paint AEW in a bad light. WWE has had plenty of house shows where they wasn't at capacity.

- Cody Rhodes was off live events this weekend to attend the opening of Brandi Rhodes' yoga studio in Atlanta.

- We're told not to expect Erik of the Viking Raiders back any time soon, unfortunately.

- Bobby Roode is now doing solo producing assignments on the main roster.

- Regarding Jason Cade, Fightful Wrestling Weekly was told that Cade was around during WrestleMania weekend, but it was decided not long after that Cade wouldn't be brought in full time as a producer.

- In addition to higher ups, Fightful Wrestling Weekly reported numerous talent contacted Fightful after the article on Kofi Kingston and Ivar was published to praise Ivar, his work in the ring, and his demeanor outside of it, even after less than stellar booking for years.

WWE has a ton of contracts coming up in 2024, but their method for renewals seems to have been different lately.

Fightful has learned that numerous talent, including several top stars, have not been approached for contract extensions. WWE signed dozens of wrestlers to new deals in 2019 that are expiring, but also some that were shorter-term are coming due in 2024. WWE has top talent with expiring deals all throughout the year.

Most of the talent we’ve spoken to were of the belief that the recent merger with Endeavor will kickstart a lot of the contract talks, and several of them are waiting to see what the offers are like when that happens, but it hasn't happened yet. There have been a few negotiations here and there, but usually with talent who approach WWE for raises.

Talent themselves have been interested and speculating what that could mean for their future negotiations, and if the deals presented will be increased, decreased, or on par with their previous deals since the merger.
