For those of you who have asked for an update on Drew McIntyre and WWE, there isn't much of one yet. The two sides have yet to come to an agreement on a new contract that would keep McIntyre with the company when his deal is expected to expire in early 2024.
We can also confirm McIntyre was spotted flying out of NYC this week but no word whether he was up North to meet with company officials.
PWInsiderElite.com has also confirmed with several WWE sources that McIntyre recently completed the process of becoming a naturalized American citizen during his post-Wrestlemania 39 time off.
As we have noted recently, McIntyre and his family are dealing with the passing of his sister-in-law as well and we extend our deepest sympathies to him and his entire family.
WWE LAWSUIT UPDATE
Court records for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York indicate the defendants in the lawsuit brought against WWE, Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon and other WWE executives by former WWE Writer Britney Abrahams are required to respond to the case by 6/26.
The 31-page lawsuit alleges that Abrahams was discriminated against and fired for objecting to "offensively racist and stereotypical jargon" in scripts for black performers. Abrahams, who was let go from the company two years ago, claims that her complaints were ignored and then she was let go from the company for taking home a commemorative Wrestlemania 37 chair, which she insinuates was a cover for the real reason for her termination.
Beyond WWE and the McMahon family members, other defendants include Christine Lubrano (SVP, Creative Writing Operations at WWE), former WWE Creative Team member Chris Dunn, Ryan Callahan (a high-up exec on the Smackdown brand creative end who is now VP of Smackdown), creative team member Jen Pepperman, and Mike Heller, another former WWE Creative Team member who exited the company last year.

I don't have an issue with dude it's just this long title reign. I'm not a fan of any title reigns over a 9 months

Im kinda with you on this but this reign has had layers on layers that add to the story along with all the hype and build... this has been the best LONG title reign imo. Its the ones with little substance that is the issue with me.
