so yeah, i think that was scheme related and again, not knowing the system fully and trusting the teammates

Communication (verbally) was also a huge issue b/c the players werent talking to each other

since they changed the scheme (mainly having the bigs drop on the PnR) and Favors came back (b/c he stressed the importance of verbally communicating), the defense improved a lot since then

I'm not saying to cut him slack for doing it cause he's bipolar. I'm saying a nigga with mental illness like that that's unchecked ain't wired the same. His thought process different.

Thats what we all been saying bout Ben. We know he cant shoot, but him not being able to shoot wouldnt be as big of a deal on another team. I really wanna see Ben on a team playing the 5 and having the whole offense go through him like a more perimeter orientated Jokic.

I been say Ben is a generational talent, its just him and Embiid dont fit well and they are stunting each others growth.

You dont trade a player with Bens talent though. So you gotta keep him for atleast another season or two and hope him and Embiid figure it out.

They have been using him as the roll man in the screen & roll and it's working for him. They also play way faster without Biid. The entire team seems like they want to run except Biid. They gotta figure how to balance the two playing styles while maximizing each other's playing time.

I think the 76ers need a coaching change. It's more things Brett Brown could do to maximize Simmons and Embiid's strengths. He could do a better job of staggering their minutes so they don't share the court as much or have Ben and Joel play a high low style of offense which takes advantage of Ben's obvious height mismatches when being guarded by smaller defenders. Embiid is an okay jump shooter and passer so he could certainly help Ben get easy looks at the hoop by pulling his defender away from the rim and being the facilitator for the high/low action.

They are definitely missing the shooting of Reddick and McConnell when he got tick helped stabilize some of the ball handling duties so Ben could play off the ball a bit more. Philly will be fine once Brown changes his approach or they get a better coach
 
It was a great run for the Spurs all these years but barring injuries or some crazy trade demands happening in the near future our run of being a good team and the southwest division's (shit the NBA's) most consistent team has come to an end.

The southwest division is pretty damn stacked with great young talented players and they are all on other teams. Lol. Dallas, Memphis, and New Orleans all have at least two young potential (some superstar) star players on their roster right now. Houston has too All Stars in their prime right now also.

I'm very interested to see what the front office does at the trade deadline. The new GM Brian Wright has big shoes to fill (RC Buford got promoted) and some very difficult decisions to make starting this February. I hope the young brother does well and becomes as successful as RC has over his long career with our Spurs.
 
Funny because the spurs have two Allstars and “rising star” Dejounte Murray

although he won’t be as impactful as say a Gilgeous-Alexander
