Welcome To aBlackWeb

No Limit Records Appreciation thread

you can't post shit you not reading....

things i said in the posts you quoted

"they was mostly garbage outside a few cool tracs here n there"
"three six was wayyyyyyy more popular in bmore than NL ever was"
"niggaz might look through their shit when we go tot he store...

but we wasn't going to the store just cuz their shit just dropped...."

i never said no one ever listened, i never said they never got played...

i said 36 was "more" popular..

if you know what the word more means.. it describes volume...NL is popular, but 36 is 'more" popular...

see the difference??

and a "a few cool tracks doesn't mean no cool tracs....

no cool tracks would mean everything was bad....i clearly said... outside a "few cool tracks' meaning that......cool tracks from NL did exist, and i admitted it....

again bruh, don't quote me if you not gonna read

Oh you want me to read what you said? Like this....

"another south nigga saying the shit,.... that ain't' nobody in NY.....east coast....we ain't care about that shit like that"

or

"ok, niggaz dropped albums every week, them shits wasn't shaking up shit outaide yall little area...

trust me, i can tell you absolutely never once in the history of my lifehave i ever heard anyone who was anticipating or exctined abotu a NL album drop....."

lol, i remeber when this got remade a few years ago......

the remake was better than this shit.... lol

this was a terrible song......terrible beat...terrible flow......but the remix was more tolerable....not one of my favorites at all.... but this is not a good song

2/10
who remade this?

who remade the remake?

this is the original version where its JUST Young Bleed

like let's put something into perspective right quick

September 28, 1999

May 12, 1998

like seriously.......the distance in talent is scary...

x told a better story, better flow, better action, better tension, easier to follow, more smooth and crisp delivery...........

like this was a completely masterpiece of a track right quick, and it might be on the top 5 tracks on the album... granted that ith was one my favorite albums of alltime.....

the reason i'm having so much trouble feeling yall, is that this was the shit i was listening to late 90's early 2000's

and this shits allllllll over everythgin yall posted thus far.....there's a reason i wasn't checking for no Limit... the shit i was listening to was so much better.....like....i don't know how yall expect anything different??

like do yal hear X?

do yall hear how much better he is than mac?

or do yall like mac more than x..
if that's the case, then i mean we just our cultural biases....

but if you can at least admit crime story is better than world war 3, then maybe we can make a little progress, cuz i'm listening to this shit...i'm trying.... i'm not impressed much, and my opinion ain't been changed yet, but i'm trying,......

sighs

X was in his bag, no doubt, but you the only person in here comparing Mac to DMX...lol

dawg, most of the shit yall dropping is wack..

the classic shit, the shit everybody know... that shit is cool.....

you hear me... the No limit shit that everybody knows.. a lotta that shit cool, but the deeper cts... the lesser known artists,.. that's bullshit.....

that's our discussion.....

NL sold more heavily in the south....that's their region... do you know what a market is?

the south was their target audience.. they were much more visible, represented on the radio and clubs, and doing shows religiously....

the shit that caught fire up north, was the hot shit, and there might of been a few people here n there who listened to more, but most folk up here didn't.....it wasn't that hot.... that's like me saying migos or future, they cool, but i ain't buying their albums....

i ain't listening to uzi vert album, young thug album.....post malone got a few nice singles, but i ain't copping his shit and listening to whole albums in the whip...and i don't know anybody who igh on them like that....

that's what i'm saying
75 Million records sold just in the southern region of the country huh?

Oh you want me to read what you said? Like this....

cuz very few niggaz liekd that shit mane....i don't know how else to tell you this shit... the farther away from NO the less and less NL die hards...

shit might've been common out there, but up here they was few and far between....

no matter how hard yall argue, you can't create fans in a region that niggaz not as popular in....

them niggaz was cool, but they wasnt nice like that to us

I need these niggas to come in here and just admit they let their bias get the best of them

nah, ya'll keep saying nobody outside the south was checking for NL

ya'll keep saying their second tier artists didnt have good songs. Im not gon say hits b/c i know a lot of the deep cuts i like didnt make it out of the southern region so a lot of people might not be familiar with them, and im ok with it, but Du keep talking about P verses for his primary reason for not liking a song

I said before P was no lyrical savant, yet Du is in here expecting some thought provoking talent from him...lol. I dont get it man

he owned the label so yea, he pimped himself and put himself on tracks that didnt need him

but come tf on man lol

im bout to post some more cuts mayne

im bout to post some more cuts mayne
i'm exhausted from listening to them....

but i don't know shit abtu what's hot on the west coast, so i'll just take ur word for it....

i'll give you the rest of the day off

Not sure if this has been addressed but this is wrong as fuck bro...

Its statements like this that make niggas not take arguments seriously...

It os a well known fact in Hip Hop tha BIG wrote all of Lil Kim and Jr Mafia’s rhymes b...

All the way down to cadence and delivery

So no...lil kims style did not come from Mia X...it cane from BIG

Furthermore...Mia X was rapping about selling dope, murder and violent shit...lil kim was a whore on wax b...

BIG made it point for Kim NOT to rap hard like a nigga

Vastly different styles and subject matter...

Mia X is def underrated as a female mc... but to say that Lil Kim jacked her style is wrong as fuck breh

When did you start listening to Mia X?

Do what?

I'm just asking when you started listening to Mia X?

It just a question big dog

Ok Breh.

I can understand now, why your post is coming at my post on some Lil Kim got her style from Mia X.

You started listening to Mia X at that time.

No Harm. Sometimes we need to do a little more digging and research, and not be so quick to shoot the messenger
