Didn't he have like 20+ straight games with 30 or more?

Nothing gonna stop him from doing that outside of officials have to stop bailing him out

And to me, if he gonna dance around the perimeter hoping to get contact on a foul so he just jacking shots up, then that's a good thing to me because he is more effective in the paint with his dribble penetration and being a threat to score

James Harden (since he seems to be the measuring stick) is a career 85% shooter. The nigga hits them at a pretty good clip.

What is shortening the FTAs from 2 to 1 really gonna do for him besides decrease the actual number of attempts he takes a season? That video Beta posted earlier showed harden shot 300+ FTs more than the next highest person in the league and that's with him shooting 2 FT's per attempt (assuming no and 1's)

so can you elaborate on why you think its a bad idea?

Did you not read into things? If harden gets fouled while taking a three he goes to the line to shoot 1 FT. If he makes it he is awarded 3 points....

He's a better passer than Jaylen brown that's it. And hes injury prone.
Brown is the better player across the board on BOTH ends.

But in this scenario there would be no need for harden to even go into the lane and his attempts at the rim would drop and from the perimeter to rise which lead into more points scored as he exploits this

Also less attempts should mean less of a chance to miss

I don't believe he'd suddenly decide to only look for fouls outside the arc. Plus defenders would adjust. You shouldn't be routinely fouling on three point attempts anyway. This would just put an extra onus on playing correct defense against the three.

Also it puts added pressure on the free throw shooters. You have to take that side of the equation into consideration.

Not only look there but he would have incentive to drift away from the basket more and defenders haven’t even adjusted yet to harden yet and this is in the case of harden so he is not gonna feel pressure

So you really think defenders would play him the same from deep knowing that a single free throw could give them three points?

20.3pts, 4.0ast, 4.4trb, 49% fg, 35% 3pt, 1.4stl, 0.4blk

Then he breaks his leg and comes back the same season which is unusual, obviously it took him time to regain form. But his playoff performance he averaged

21.8pts, 2.8ast, 5.0trb, 49% fg, 48% 3pt, 1.0stl, 0.5blk
