He didnt want to face anybody straight up, he wanted an easy win thats why he pounced after the Lashley attack

Him looking stupid is the feature not a bug. It was his comeuppance for being handed everything by Vince. It's wrestling 101, when a heel is taken down its a good thing not a burial. Now he is positioned to prove he can do it on his own, which is a character arc worth investing in.

Theory was shown on TV to be getting impatient. He showed up on NXT. He tried multiple times to cash in on the world title and got his ass handed to him every time.

Roman Reigns has a literal gang everywhere he goes and has held the title for 2 plus years. Roman is on a different show and doesn't even show up consistently. Cashing in on him is hard. Theory doesn't work hard, he was gifted the case to start with.

All of that leads the character that we were presented with to make a stupid and impulsive decision. Because, he is stupid and impulsive!

1. Bell never rung. So no, Lashley didn't answer the challenge since the match NEVER started. Even it did, he coulda just waited until NEXT week

2. Even still WHY would you waste a guaranteed title shot on a MIDCARD title? If he was too afraid to go up against Reigns, cool. Use it on Bron Breakker in NXT. An actual WORLD TITLE. This kills MITB because now it's justified for someone to have used MITB on a 24/7 title(before it got trashed)

3. So HHH burying Theory because he was one of Vince's guys? that don't sound like favoritism and unprofessionalism? That doesn't actually sound unfair to you? No?

Roman's gang will be going against tough challengers in a war games so Roman would be ripe to be picked off. Even if he lost it would be better than what happened last week.
