I fucking loved Rubicon.... been trying to run it back but can’t find itDon't know if you ever watched the show Rubicon. It was one season but if you watch it you know someone high up in government or intelligence got that show tf outta here.
Same with Utopia.
No one watched the Wire like that but they gave us 5 seasonsThat show was not popular when it was out.It never caught on.
The only reason it got a 2nd season was because it was Mark Wahlberg's show too.
From what HBO said, ppl weren't watching it.
They also cancelled the show Hung and Bored To death around the same time for the same reason.

Evidently more ppl watched The Wire than that show.No one watched the Wire like that but they gave us 5 seasons
I was one of the few who watched that show from the premiere to the end.
I'd never heard of How to make it in America until a few years ago. I also don't think HBO promoted that show on its platforms like that. I could be wrong about that but I don't remember seeing a commercial for it when watching something else on HBO
Fam the Wire almost got cancelled after every seasonEvidently more ppl watched The Wire than that show.
When The Wire was out it seemed popular to me.
Everybody I knew watched it.
it def had a strong cult following and later mainstream following.
But The Wire is part of the golden era and TV history.
Along with The Sopranos it ushered in the anti hero era of TV
We can't compare The Wire to this show.
Aye for me How To make It America was a meh show and a lot like Entourage. The same ppl made it
Maybe it had a bigger impact on some other ppl,but was just okay to me.
I watched that shit too though. It was just aight to me.
I watched The Wire from ep 1.
They threatened to cancel it after season 3 and 4Fam the Wire almost got cancelled after every season
Didn't the Wire come on after The Sopranos at the beginning?I don't think a lot of people tv wise watched that show from when it first premiered.
The Wire took off and got more credit towards the end of it run and even more so after the show was over.

YepRatings wise The Wire was never a huge thing. Truthfully the fact that show got 5 seasons is amazing because by all accounts season 3 and 4 were each supposed to be the end of it.
