Nah, they made of telling us multiple times that going through the barrier physically changed Monica. Most other people didn't actually go through the barrier. The exception is Darcy, but it was only once and it seemed like the second time was what did the job for Monica.

You right. I was only thinking about her going in. I forgot about the time she got thrown out. So she caught that direct exposure to the energy a lot more than anyone else.
