It's not about whether you liked it or not. It's about the energy not being the same for a perceived DC "flop" compared to a Marvel "flop."

In all honesty I wasn’t the biggest fan of Captain Marvel & nothing about the premise of the new one makes me wanna see it. A lot of people I’m sure really are just tired of the MCU as a whole at this point. I was pretty done after endgame and with a few exceptions like Spider-Man you be surprised the number of people just moved on.
