I thought the same thing. Glad I was wrong.
I still maintain that Luke Cage is written like a character out of a completely different show. And Mike Coulter's acting doesn't help. I get that he's supposed to be a transplant from Savannah, Georgia but Mike plays like someone on a ABC or TNT primetime drama while everyone else actually fits in.

I don't think the backend of season 1 was as bad as people say it is.
But season 2 was definitely better.
But season 2 was definitely better.

Just finished...GOOD second season. Some of the Jamaican accents were terrible in places...lol other times sounded legit. And surely dem man woulda played some basement when they was rolling in the whip looking for Cage?!
Overall was good and I agree with others that there was an improvement in Danny Rand on his cameo. They acknowledged it too.

I disagree with people's assessment of the gay shit in this series. I'm one of those people that hates the homo shoehorning we see nowadays. I liked True Blood, but I hated how they forced that shit in. I love Game of Thrones and again I hate how they go overboard with some of the gay shit.
I didn't have a problem with the gay shit in this series. People said it was pointless, but it really wasn't. Comanche being an informant was an important plot point. The fact that he loved Shades in that way and was trying to get him away from Mariah served that point. They didn't go overboard with it. They revealed the gay shit, tied it to the overall plot, and then killed it off. I'm not really sure why anyone has a problem with this. Gay ass niggas do exist. Especially the ones that come from prison.
