Welcome To aBlackWeb

As far as Wakanda and Black Panther are concerned Kevin Feige said they will be important for phase 4 so they not going anywhere. Comic canon Wakanda has never been successfully invaded and he already "lost" Wakanda in his own damn movie due to Killmonger. It'll be a war but the city won't be decimated like yall think it will be. Earth definitely taking a huge L though lol

I was hoping they borrowed a little from the black panther bet animated series and threw a storm easter egg in there. Like haver her mentioned in a conversation "what happened to the white haired " goddess " from Kenya you were involved with in years ago"? I liked her" I hope she shows up in a sequel and they get married like in the comics.

That Fox deal hasn't been cleared they can't legally do that even if they wanted to

The People of Wauconda, Illinois, Would Like You to Stop Asking If They Have Black Panther's Vibranium

The afrofuturistic wonderland from Black Panther is not a real, physical place, but Wauconda, a small village just about an hour outside of Chicago, Illinois, is. And like the fictional Wakandans, the actual Waucondans would really like it if you stopped bothering them about vibranium.

In the days since Black Panther hit theaters, people living in Wauconda have been receiving calls and e-mails from people with questions about Wakanda and whether the city was planning on changing anything about itself to celebrate the movie. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter Wauconda’s mayor described a number of calls her office has received with people shouting “Wakanda forever!” or asking if the town of less than 20,000 is hiding Wakanda’s valuable metal:

“At first, I was like, is there a full moon out? Someone called and asked how we pronounced the village name and when I told him, he began yelling, ‘Wakanda forever!’ which I am guessing is from the film.”

It’s interesting to note that Wauconda’s name comes from a word that translates to “god” in the language of the Kaw and Osage Nations. In Osage, the word is typically written as “Wah.Kon.Tah” though it’s pronounced identically to Wakanda.

When asked recently by Indian Country Today whether Marvel’s borrowing “Wakanda” for the name of its fictional African country was appropriative or offensive, Osage tribe member and language student Kilan Jacobs said that personally, it didn’t bother him because of the respect the movie has for the name:

“It was a sacred home place to them. Beyond that, I have no way of knowing if in some real African language this is an actual place name or word they have as well. But overall I felt no disrespect or misdoing. The movie was great and uplifting.”

Yeah you lost track of time. U should've known to get there about 45 to a hour early just to see what the lines was lookin' like. A quick alternative would have been to just run to the corner store/Dollar General/Family Dollar etc. and get your goodies there.

On another note, you did the right thing. Don't ever switch your plans up for a chick, especially when she already know you about to get into somethin'. It let's them know that you got options and you not stuntin' her lIke that. Oddly enough, she will appreciate that even more when it's time for yall to kick it.

Facts when I linked with her ironically finally today she was on me daaaaaaaaaawg

You know why i think like that?

1. I feel like they gotta take us niggas down a notch from this high

2.From a writing stand point it would be such a gut punch to create this universe within a universe everybody loves, then burn it to the ground.

3.I watch Game of Thrones and I'm addicted to abuse

Not gonna lie...

I've watched all 18 MCU films, the ABC shows, and the Netflix shows. I even made it halfway through that horrible horrible Inhumans show on HULU.

If they tear down Wakanda or in anyway emasculate Black Panther, I'm done with the whole thing.

That's how confident that I am that they'll do the right thing and follow this up with a dope sequel. But Coogler pretty much has to come back.

I don't see Black Panther leading the Avengers. He still has to run Wakanda and that comes first. Just like Thor wouldn't lead the Avengers due to his responsibilities to Asgard.

And that's how it should be.

I am late to the party. I seen it yesterday & I'm going to go see it again Sunday. Amazing movie. This is most def one of those movies that you have to go see a couple of times to discover hidden gems in it. And I already know that it was stated in this thread but Killmonger last words was some trill shit. I forgot the exact quote but "throw me in the sea because my ancestors knew death was better than bondage". Remind me of a 2pac quote "I rather die like a man than live like a coward". Okoye was giving them that work in the casino fight scene

I think is fairly clear that the soul Stone was the astroid that placed vibranium in the soil of Wakanda. And it's what allows the black panther to communicate with his ancestors...

It's almost certainly in Wakanda, which is why they fight there

Nah Wakanda could always do that due to the civilizations link to Bast. Coogler said he didn't want any stones in the movie since he thought Vibranium was special enough. I think it's more for Visions protection because they fail to get his mind stone the first time. What better place to protect him since it looks like NY gets fucked up again smh lol.
