I wish people would stop lying to themselves. Marvel's trajectory to this point has looked nothing close to DC's fumbling and bumbling thus far.

But see right before that happens, Thanos knows they'll be coming and not only them but he knows exactly where Adam Warlock and Silver Surfer are, which is like a million light years away or something and Thanos mentions blinking not just the heroes but also Adam Warlock and the Silver Surfer out of exitence with a thought.
When he says that, Mephisto manipulates him and tells him that all women love to see courage and tells Thanos that if he depowers himself and fights the heroes hand to hand, Mistress Death might see his courage and fall in love with him.
Mephisto does this because he wants the gaunlet for himself and so he wants Thanos to put his guard down.
If it wasnt for that, he would have just thought to make all the Earth Heroes and Adam Warlock disappear way before Nebula took the gauntlet which she probably still would have because of Thanos' arrogance and she would have probably destroyed the Universe without meaning too.
If it wasnt for Mephisto manipulating Thanos, Thanos would have never fought anyone hand to hand to begin with and thats what I meant, without a scene like this how could anyone fight Thanos in the next movie? He could just think them out of existence. I'm guessing the fact that the gauntlet is damaged is going to be a big part of how they can even fight him.
Right, but they don't really need Mephisto to pull it off in the movie, just Thanos' ego. He want's to make a spectacle for Death, then he'll do it by de-powering himself and fighting whomever's left.

@Du all I need is a good solo Batman movie that justice league sequel vs legion of doom that was teased by luthor and deathstroke in the after credits, all the upcoming solos to be dope especially aquaman a dope more darker suicide squad sequel with a new line up etc. Its the suits fault for not giving the directors breathing room and they got spooked from the moviegoers backlash from bvs so they took suicide squad and tried to marvel that shit up. Same with justice league the director had to step down because his daughter committed suicide so they Brought loss whedon in and changed the tone and then there's super mustache etc.

DC fucked up, Batman isn't Batman, Supes ain't supes and Lex ain't Lex...they have iconic characters but they fucked up their core...Marvel has reinvented Iron Man, Thanos etc which worked out great...
DC has all the potential in the world but that doesnt mean much if the directors, producers, scripts and actors aint shit.

Not necessarily trying to compare the two journeys but Marvel needed to time to perfect their formula, years actually. I'm just willing to give DC the same patience.
